I have zero experience with the Gait Liquid metal, but I make golf clubs and my sons use Liquid metal baseball bats. Liquid metal technology is pretty darn good. The Plasma bats are and so are the golf clubs. I bet the Gait Liquid Metal is too.

It all dapends on what you want like if you want a light stick, strong stick, or cobonation of the two if I where you i would dacide what kind of shaft you want before you go looking for a shaft.

Liquid metal is made of two pieces that are welded together. This compromises strength. Go with a strong metal with one-piece construction, it will be much less likely to break. I have seen lots of liquidmetals snap in two.

i was messin around in practice and checked a liquid metal with my long pole pretty hard but not 100% or anything....and it put a huge dent in the stick. sounds like it is very light but not too strong.

Liquid metal lax sticks are made very differently than the baseball bats, then. the bats are not welded, but dipped in the liquid metal. The premis is the LM quickly solidifies and there is only one lattice structure. In other metals, there are virtually thousands of lattice structures that makes the metal more suceptable to breakage. The LM baseball bats do dent, though. The newer plasma bats (I wonder if there will be plasma shafts?) have 5-times more LM than their predecessor did. That may reduce the denting.

the LM on the LM shafts is from what ive heard "painted" on. its only on certain parts of the shaft, not the whole shaft. the original shaft is a db803, which is light, yet not the strongest. At the freshman, and maybe some jv levels the LM shaft will work for you. Most varsity and some better jv squads, if you want to use this you will probably go through at least two, but if its under warentee and the store is close theres no probelm as long as its in stock.

I've never used it...but Matt Schomburg uses it and he told me it was a tank.

this has nothin to do with you thread but i notices ur user name was gaelslax05. I went to millons camp last week and there was a couple of kids from gaels and all were really good. One kids name was tom and the other was defenseman with a gold shaft. Both were very good. Do you play with these kids? Also, just curious.
