Ok, here's the deal. I need a new attack shaft. Does anybody here have any suggestions to great shafts they've used?
-Thanks

Good idea. I don't want anything too pricy, like in the $70 range. I'm attack, so I sort of like the light, durable ones. Not edgy ones, though.

i would just go with a krypto c405, they are pretty nice, i hav two and both of them hav done me good. but if u are willin to go up to 80-85 i would definitly get a krypto pro, i also hav one of those and i used it for a season and it has no dents.

www.harrowsports.com look at that shaft im getting one and my friends has one there awesome...75$
Don't go cheap ! If you do...you will be kicking yourself. If the shaft is less than $40 it's junk !

Obviously I am interested in the C405, and F-15 as well as F-22. I don't know much about those Harrow ones, so does anybody have one/used it? I looked at one of my catalogs, and the Titan Classic, and Levitation are WAY over my price range.

i like the feel of the flip grip, but thats just me the Magnum Flip grip, are nice, there in the 50-70 range, and its lite and tuff.

I tend to not like the Flip-Grip. Are the Harrow shafts made out of titanium, and how durable or light are they?

composite graphite(most durable metal on the market) they sre light and durable, i saw a demonstration the guy there (w/out a lax head on the shaft) cranked a shot and hit the shaft on the table, it didnt even dent

I may get a Harrow later on, but for now I think the Krptolyte C405, and the F-15 are my top choices. I've got a cyber as my head right now.

Not yet. I just won a Nitrous with a F-10 powergrip shaft today at lax camp,(But I hate the powergrips) So, I will keep my Cyber as my no.1 stick, and move my Nitrous to my no.2 stick. The Proflex shaft on my Cyber right now will be moved onto my Nitrous, and my new shaft will be on my Cyber.

The Scandium shaft by STX is probably one of the best you could get on the market. Scandium is the only metal stronger and lighter than Titanium (or something like that, I know it's better than Titanium though). It's a little pricey though so if your looking to spend less I'd go with the Kryptolyte by Warrior or the DeBeer db803 shaft.

i love the nitrous its a great head, sounds like you have yourself a plan with your shafts

Yes, I guess I do. I'm pretty sure I don't like the Nitrous as much as my Cyber, but I still have to break in the poket of the Nitrous.

harrows are made of a composite material like you said, but they're not metal. that's why they don't dent. they're super light, but they do tend to break if you run the taper at the top. i would go for the harrow without the taper, or if you're worried about durability, go with the box shaft.

How can you people neglect the BEST SHAFT ON THE MARKET?! No one mentioned the Gait/DeBeer db803 shaft! At 5.0 ounces, it is THE lightest shaft...no contest. Its grip is almost perfect, only the Triax shafts beat it in that department. It's quite durable...the worst that will happen is a bunch of dents after a season, but it won't crack or break. At $50 or so, it's also one of the greatest deals in lacrosse...Why don't you go and grab one, and rip some? :agree
Graphite was used a bit by STX in the mid-90s, it wasn't any better than aluminum so they stopped. I would disagree that anything under $40 is junk, go get a CU31 for 30 bucks and you have a very good shaft. That's what I would suggest to you, depending on how old you are by the time you cna save up and buy any shaft that what you want. The difference between CU31 weight and others at the attack length is negligible, only strength, and the diff between the CU31 and C405 (ie F22, Kryptolite) isn't too much unless you swear by corporate lingo. So if you don't know enough about shafts to pick your own then probably you're at the level where CU31 would be the way to go.
Edit: Just saw 2nd page and the guy who posted about the db803, which is the best deal in lacrosse. If you want to spend $20 more than a CU31 then that would be your best bet.

The DeBeer DB803 is really really light. By the way, you can also usually find the F15 Ti Alloy for 35 bucks, and there's nothing wrong with that shaft either.
