Whats the difference between a proton and a proton plus and how can you tell if its a plus or just a regular by just looking at it.

I have 2 proton pluses all they did was slap a "+" sticker on the side where it says proton
that may change at some point but the ones I have are just regular protons

Well, its not really a sticker, its an embossing in the plastic next to the proton part.

some have stickers and some are embossed. i heard the proton plus is alot less offset than the old proton.

yeah it really is a sticker
but I got mine right after they had to change it to the plus, so they might have just been clearing the old stock
but it has the embossed plastic "+" too
that is the logo for a proton
if you have taken chemistry electrons are negatively charged (-)
while protons are positively chqarged "+"
personally the proton and the proton+ are both not pinched enough

STX was forced to make the proton plus after the law suit with brine. Brine said that certain heads including the proton copied their patented off set design. Since STX lost they had to change the off set of the proton thus making the proton plus.

All protons have the plus thing. How can you tell besides that?

there is a difference in the offset, its like 1 cm overall which is actually a lot.

Can someone with a regular proton take a side shot of the logo on the throat?

all i know is that the proton plus is way less offset than the old proton. kids from my school are always trying to buy protons from kids who used to play but stopped. the new ones are barely offset at all.

yep, same goes with newer x2's....
all you guys should be kissing canadian butt in order to score some, a lot of stores simply did not pull them off the shelves or cared (i think the lawsuit was US related only I guess...I dunno?)
But all I know is we got plenty of protons old schools and x2's if you hunt, but the prices are kinda high for CAD, but it would be cheap if u were an american buying CAD!

I bought a complete stick for 60$. It has a normal Proton (not +) and an STX al6000 only a few weeks ago. I've seen them at almost every sporting goods store in northern VA.
