hmmmmmmmmm, well I'll just write it here neways. I always have to listen to some pump up songs BOOM by POD MUST be listened to before very practice, game, run, WHATEVER, it is THE SONG. I also always have to get there a little early. Ya know, size up the competition, throw the ball around, do some laps or whatever. Rituals... hmmmmmmm I always wear pro-wrap in my hair to keep the stays out of my face because my hair is short, and I always think about doing better than last time. Improving the things I did wrong last time, just every note I get, I go over in my head.

Oh yeah and for pre-game rituals...well, its not much of a ritual. But on home games i go like 30 minutes before we have to meet and just sit in the stands and listen to music. Weird, i know. And for away games, i sit up in like hte 3rd seat on the bus and listen to music and be by myself. Yes, weird again -- i know. I'm really really serious and nervous before games, therefore i HAVE to be left alone. annnnnd...i play middie, i have to do 13, yes, exactly 13 draws before the game. I'm just all around weird, what can i say!

Couldn't agree with you more about Boom and the pre-wrap... add wrapping my ankle and those are my only pre game rituals

I like to listen to chill out songs before a game usually. like oar or jack johnson.etc. although sometimes in big games i listen to pump up. does anyone else listen to chill out songs before a game? it just makes it easier for me to realx and do my thing and gets me into my mode.

Rock and loud giutars is usually a good thing.
Look into Disturbed, System of a Down and Fall of Troy to name a few.
I usually try to get really pissed before a game and try to knock out some unlucky guy on the other team. but thats just me...
for pregame you should also have a quik catch with someone (i have a
catch with the same guy before every game.)

i dont know if there's a men's lacrosse version of this thread (i didnt bother to look) but before every game i stretch. i know that seems kinda stupid cause most teams do it before a game, but when its an indoor or summer league where its not normal i do it anyway. i guess it calms and me down and relaxes me cause i get so nervous and anxious before the face-off.

This is actually done by my field hockey team... but since for warmups we have the whole field empty like before the other team gets there or starts or w.e and so we take our warm-up lap all through the field. we get in a single file line and just try to cover the whole field with every twist and turn possible.
