View Full Version : Best way to shed some Pounds, FAST!

The Lacrosse season is approaching very fast and I was wondering what the best way was to shed some extra pounds, and to do it fast. I would like to lose 10-15 pounds. Anyone have a workout plan or some tips?

I'm not a Fat kid its just I wanna be in real good shape and to loosen my load to run faster.

How long til lax season? How old are you? What do you weigh now? How much is your target weight? All this are key questions in the weight loss process. The "simplest" way to lose weight is to just take in less calories than you expend. That means add 20 min of cardio 3 times a week and don't ingest much sugar-based products. That alone can jumpstart the process. Most of the basics of weight loss still work: whole grains, vegetables, water, reasonable portions, etc. Between 1 and 2 pounds a week is not unrealistic in general but for you specifically, it may or may not be different.

you will loose a substantial amount of weigt... but then again it isn't A) safe B) what your lookin for becuase much of the weight lost would be muscle.

actually, the one of the easist and quickest weighs to lose weight is not what everyone thinks of first. but drink a ton of water and i mean a ton. take several dasini or ozarka bottles with you whereever you go... drink water like no freakin other. i mean to the point you think your sick cus your in the restroom all the time. the reason for this is...
- you become regular... loosin bowel weight not only drops weight, buts makes it easier for your body to digest more food and get more energy from your food allowing you to eat smaller portions and getting the same power yeild.
- more water is drawn into the muscles, basically the same side effects of taking creatine from here, more water in the muscle makes workouts easier and allows more energy tansfer inside the muscle so that you can burn more energy (fat) when you have hard workouts.
- you are made mostly of water and many people do not drink enough, especially athlets. the funny thing bout that is, is that coaches demand their players drink water BUT heavy athletes need MORE water in their system then people who do not work out to be as effecient, and athletes usually drink to or slightly over what a couch potatoe should drink and thus don't keep themselves in tip top shape. so drink water all the time, the magic thing about water is that you can drink water even when your not the slightest bit thirsty, sooo bottoms up.

when and only when you increase your water intake will the other suggested methods of weight loss will be successful.

weight loss isnt what you want, you want more muscle and less fat. Dont eat if your not hungry and run everywhere, thats what i do. I run to get the phone, then run to go feed the dog, its quite interesting to my family, but it works

A deficit of 500 calories per day shall be fine to lose about 1kg weight (fat) per week without losing muscle mass. Do this by increasing physical activity or controlled nutrition or the best, control your nutrition while increasing physical activity.

make sure you eat a little bit so yyou dont get sick, i changed my diet and such and did a lot of running for training and i felt like crap and it wasnt all the activity
