Can someone that has made their own goal please tell me what to use and how much to use. I was thinking of using pvc pipe and filling that with sand. Thanks a lot.

i think there may have been another thread like this in equipment forums, ill try and find the link right quick
i couldnt find it so ill just tell you
all you need is 4 six foot sections of PVC or metal pipe and 2 7 foot sections , if you use PVC make sure its the thickest kind you can get so it doesnt shatter, some 90* connectors and a 45* one for the back, go a a fishing store and grab a net, throw it over the goal and use some cable connectors or rope to hold it on

i made a pvc pip goal.....i have 3 6ft pipes (2 posts, 1crossbar) and i have 2 7ft pices for the bottom. i have the 90 degree connectors and at the back of the net, i used like 3 45degree connectors and connected them together, and bought a lax net and put rocks in the pipes to weigh it down bc i can rip the ball and it'll break if there isnt enough weight to catch the ball being thrown.

ive answered this question once already within the last 7 days, try searching for goal+pvc
cheap metal goals with nets can be had for less than $100. PVC goals dont last long, plus you have to buy a net.
yes it can be done, but you will end up spending less buying a metal one

When I was in a hardware store recently, I saw metal pipes that resembled the ones from my backyard goal. So I picked on up and inspected it, and sure enough it would work. They werent too expensive, but I dont remember the exact price. I want to say under $10.

1.25 to 1.5" diameter if it's not too expensive. That's what most of the "backyard" goals are made of.

You can go to Home Depot and buy what is called "Fence Railing" i think. It's the pipe you find on your average chain-link fence. Decently cheap, too. About 20 bucks for 6 feet, i think it was.

I bought 12 meter alloy pipes (4 centimeter diameter) and welded them (not that difficult if you aren't really clumsy) then sprayed it with clear coat. if you want a detachable goal, you can buy pipe angles in a plumber store and use metal screws to fix it and to knock it down. costs about 40 € (50$) all in all for one goal and you have a really professional goal.

Would I be able to pick up the metal pipes at Home Depot? Do they have metal connectors for metal pipes like they do for PVC pipes?
