Stx Surge...? Good head?

Im planning on buying my sister a stx surge from my work. I wanted to first find out how good of a head this really is. Im planning to dye the head and really do something funky with it. Just wondering if this is a good enough girls stick for my 15 year old sister.

If your sister has a few years of experience playing lacrosse, then go for it. It's on the heavier side. However, I don't know if I'd suggest dying the head... the rubber stuff on it may fall off more easily if u do dye it...
Overall, I like the Surge. Other suggestions are the Impulse and Tempest by debeer.

If she's new to lacrosse, I'd suggest the Response or Myssy.

I like the Surge, but am also concerned about dying it with the rubber. I recommend the apex, tempest, stx level, and impulse which are all easy to die, and if she is a beginner, I would suggest the apex also, or a backlash or whiplash.

i wouldnt recommend the surge to anyone. i just dont like it.
buy her the apex, tempest, impulse, or if shes a beginner the response--all by debeer...
umm im trying to think of a non-dB head that i would recommend but i cant right now. but in my opinion dB is muchh better than stx for beginners or advanced girls lacrosse players...
im so biased... :)

I would have to agree. IMO dB simply makes the best heads on the market, for any level player.

Yeah I'd have to agree with everyone else. I have a surge head but recently switched to a dB impulse because the surge was falling apart..the rubber sidewalls more of a hassel then helpful, it falls off. I sent my surge back 3 times for them to fix the rubber and it happened every time. it does have a ++ on groundballs though

i know a few girls who have a surge and they like it. but the sidewall peels=no bueno.
