How do you get people to play lax

I mean the stubburn ones... too old for that and there friends are all baseball heads. those methods are starting to stop workin as kids get older.

ya i think the hitting w/ metal poles line is probably the best recruiting tool, especially when you are trying to get football players to play

I litterally forced like 8 kids to play this year lol all my friends and most got pretty good over the season. I just sorta say your not doing anything else so you playing and thats that. sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

i usually use chinese torture methods but sometimes telling them u get to smash on ppl and club ppl with sticks works

well what i did this year was me and one of my friends said that we would wrestle this year if some kids came out to play lax. I guess you cant really do that if you already do 3 sports but it worked for me

well if u have friends similar to mine there really competative so make a few couner shots and have a little competition lol bet them if they can make it after they miss the net or don't hit the spots and give them some tips and if things go right then maybe they will get into the sport a little more lol my two cents

i live in wv and i'm one of the only kids at my school that know what lacrosse is. Our local Y is having a lacrosse clinic next week and i'm trying to get some of my friends to come with me.

I just pester one or two people a year until they try it. I usually get kids to join. I got my neighbor to join. He was going to play baseball, but I wouldn't leave him alone about it, and he joined and now he's thoroughly obsessed. Yay for me and my work ethic. Um, don't do drugs.

hmm acutally i was at the park yesterday throwing against the fence like i normally do saw these guys playing basketball and i so happy to have my backup stick too so i pretty much gave them each a stick and had them throw to eachother both seemto liked it ha

if they r new i resist temptation and let them mess my stick up.
i throw with them, tell them the pros of it and y they'd do well (some ppl obviosulty this is easier then others). i encourage and am really upbeat.
and i have my stick everywhere on display to show my dedication to the sport

Get popular football player approval. Also, both our coaches were former football coaches and active in younglife so we got a ton of athletic christian fun kids.

Oh wait. . .no, that's not it. Ummmmm. . .actually I've found that the sport has a tendency to sell itself a lot. But if you're looking to get your friends to play who may not seem interested, go out and have a catch with them (always have junk sticks around for this occasion) and be very encouraging. Try to liken the mechanics to sports they're familar with (e.g., cushion the ball into the stick--you'd never trap a soccer ball with a stiff leg, try not to basket catch the ball--you'd never try to catch a throw in baseball by turning the glove up, etc.)
