Assuming that both the 5d and 6d are stung perfectly which mesh is better to play with...why 6d over 5d or why 5d over 6d

personal preference

Yea preference, 5D has more hold than release, 6D still has great hold but a better release than 5D. Again, preference.

If you can't try either of them out though, I think I would have to say go with 6<>. It's a good balance of hold and release.

Yah 5d requires a bit more tweeking to balance the two (hold and release)

quicker release is 6d but more power would come from the whip/hold of 5 d

I tried to throw w/ 6d and it was a struggle for me. I'd imagine what 5d would be like. So I'm sticking to old trusty 10d

5D is most amount of hold you'll ever get (argueablely) But the smaller diamonds give a faster shot speed at the cost of hold. So if you want a slightly better shoot speed take the 6d but you'll also have slightly less hold too. Personally I use 5D (see webshots) but I play D where shot speed is pointless.

6d is soo much better, 5d looks ugly and the release is really hard to conququer. 6d has relaly good hold and u can get it out quick with a pocket in the middle of the stick

i don't use mesh much, but when i do, i have to go with higher d than 5 or 6.

I see no 5di stringing ? Also yeah argueably my 10di string jobs have a lot more hold than my 5di.

Ok well theres 5D now. so you can compare 6 and 5 D in my webshots. (I dont know how long it takes for everyone to see the updates though)

Not if you string it right, see my tutorial. And I think 6D looks ugly. If it's not strung right a dirty looking low pocket usually forms, which can be good for some, but not what I prefer.

Its basically became the thread that states the 1st law of mesh

Bigger diamonds = More hold but less shot speed

Smaller Diamonds = Less hold but more shot speed

If your really to the point where your comtimplating between 5-6, neither prolly fit your level of understanding of lacrosse, not trying to be mean, but if you feel that 10 dosent have the old and isnt fast enough, try a custom, if you want hold and still some speed use 8, 8 is a nice pretty number, because its the length of my... I dont know, but something I have is 8 somethings.

Does it look good to you if it IS strung right?

Is that mesh stretched at all ? It does not look like it if it is. Also if you were trying to do it Orange's way, you are a bit wrong.

6d has a better release and slightly less hold than 5d. I prefer 7d because it has a nice combination of hold and release.

Umm, yes actually it does. What are you trying to say?
