View Full Version : Gait signs extension with Baltimore
I wonder what the still unannounced expansion team in Denver thinks about that. He is the heart and soul of pro lacrosse in Denver. I am sure that they would have liked to have Gary Gait to market the new team. The League cannot be very happy about this move by Baltimore.

why would gait just drop all of the accomplishments with the bayhawks and go play for some new expansion team? thats just stupid.

Gotta remember when gait went to Denver last time he threw away nothing as a lot of players from the bmore cam e with him. Also the Bmore NLL team didn't have half the accomplishments of the Bayhawks.

I think Gary will be on the Dever squad by the start of the 2006 season.

Well, this is intriguing. Maybe this is setting up a possible trade. He could be traded to Denver at some point. Who knows. It may mean he's happy commuting from Denver to Baltimore to play/coach a great team.

This should put to bed all the garbage rumors. Nice job once again Bmore.
Very smart move by the Bayhawks. It ties the league's hands so that they cannot assign Gait to Denver if they ever announce an expansion team there. Remember, in the MLL the League owns the player contracts and the teams own their coaches' contracts.

They announced an expansion team there at the ALL-STAR GAME. They just haven't followed throuh on there website yet(what do you expect, they're owned by Warrior). same deal with Chicago and Dallas.
So far the only mention has come from the MLL. Nothing from the Denver owner group. When they announced LA, the owner group and the MLL issued a joint press release. Nothing has been jointly annouced since about any other expansion teams. I am not saying that it is not going to happen, it is just curious that the MLL said something about Denver nearly a month ago and nothing has been officially announced yet.

Maybe the owners an, old senile laxer who won the lottery and is having his randosn run it for him or some other crazy story... The ownership group in LA is one of the biggest ever they may have there diferences with a more private owner.
