Try clapping push-ups...those are what our wrestlers do and most of them who practice consistanlty on them win all the time...if you don`t know what they are it is where you do a push up, push into the air with hands, and clap once, then next, same thing, but clap twice, and so on.

I have had success with this...pick your own weight depending on how advanced you are...
Regular Bench (12,10,8)
Incline Dumbell Press (12,10,8)
Decline Dumbell Press (12, 10, 8)
Then later before bed push ups until failure

crap...my bad...then do the three different kinds of pushups...
regular...then get a box or something...put your toes on it and do push ups...then put your toes on the ground and hands on the box and do push ups that way...works everything...upper, lower pecs

lie on a bench and then you put the dumbells up above your chest and slowly bring it down then go up do that like 10 times

Guys he doesn't have any weights and wants to work his Pecs(ie Chest) Listen my advice is when every you are looking to work a specific muscle group. Thing about when the muscle is used, if your not sure, put your hand on it and then go through some motions. Do You feel the muscle tensing? If Yes then thats an excercise that can help. If no, then it's not useful. If you think of things that way you can often answer many of your own questions.

The only real way to work your pecs without weights is simply with pushups there really isn't much else. Keep in mind the wider your hand placement the more you are isolating the pec. The tight you are the more you are using your arms. Combine that with Stegs advice and you have a pec workout sans weights.

Ideally you'd be better off getting a membership to a gym or a set of weights

lol thats good advice i guess....but don't try and lift too much at once cause if you lift too much you mgight damage the muscles the way you build muscle is by lifting weights you break tissue and it comes back stronger but you don't wanna break too much tissue cause it might not grow back so lay off the really heavy stuff

Cloo...I know that...and you DO know you dont have to post on EVERY post. Thats not the way you become a mod. Quality posts is the way to go, so just chill out and think before you type. Im not raggin' on you or anything, Just saying...think.

Oh no! A post battle watch out!! Listen just keep doing butterflys with those dumbbells and doing pushups. There was a thing at menshealth.com on how to build your chest muscles without weights. But im pretty sure it was just mostly push up routines.

but remember to work every part of your chest...thats why i strongly say you gotta do different variations to work upper, lower, and middle/overall

Well now that you have some dumbells, don't JUST work out your pecs - work out everything.

If you're just starting to work out, I would suggest lifting weights only three times a week.

Day 1:
----------------------------------------
dumbbell bench press
dumbbell incline press
dumbbell decline press
dumbbell flys
barbell curls
preacher curls
hammer curls
21's
* - Although the benchpress is generally the staple in most athletes chest day, I abhor it. I find it to be a terrible exercise.

Day 2:
-------------------------------------------
pull ups
wide-grip lat pulldowns
one-arm dumbbell rows
seated dumbbell press
front raises
laterial raises
bench dips
*- Bench dips are the only worth-while exercise for your tri's. Theres no reason to do any other exercise.

Day 3:
---------------------------------------------
barbell squats
leg presses
leg extensions
calf raises
heel raises
dumbbell lungers
straight-leg deadlifts
lying leg curls
whatever ab exercises you prefer

As a beginner to weight-lifting you should start off with very light weights even if you can lift more. You're better off lifting less weight with good form then heavy weight with bad form.

try doing push ups but with arms feet on a chair, and a chair for each of your arms this will help you get lower
