I recently strung this up in my sisters new stick. Throws hard and has pretty nice accuracy. Its called the uptight pocket. Pictures are in my webshots in my Sig

yeah, my sister liked the pocket i had a lot...so she wanted to see that but in her stick...its a little different...thus the new name...

the answer is yes...on all accounts it is
^^^ It's a nice stringing job, but whoever told you it was legal misinformed you. The yellow leather thong/shin pad strap you use in the middle is too wide.
Rule 22-D-1-a: "Longitudinal leather or synthetic thongs shall be 0.3cm to 1.0cm wide."
Also from 22-D-1, "...all field crosses shall be strung with 4 or 5 longitudinal leather and/or synthetic thongs..."
I believe your pocket meets that requirement w/ 5, but other umpires may only count it as 3. The rule interpretation on that has always been sketchy, so it could be called either way.
Now to be frank, it's quite possible your sister could use it in games and never have it called out. That first rule I quoted is new for 2005 and rather obscure. I bet over 90% of umpires wouldn't know it unless you pointed it out to them. But if you want to get technical, it is illegal.

alright, well honestly its not the biggest deal since she plays club ball...so really its not a factor if its legal or not. to be honest, girls rules with all these rules are pathetic...and then why dont you just create something like this then?
