Thats completely untrue. Women do tend to go with personality over looks. Good looks can attribute some to your game, but they don't get you women (if they do, think about what type of girl your attracting). Most girls are too afraid to approach guys, thats why we have to do all the work. This is good because if you don't have the best looks but a awesome personality (confident in yourself), you can still pick up women (no women are ever out of your league). Women want to find a man who knows how to live, a man that can take them out of their 'daily' lives and let them into a completely different world (yours).

i was meeting this guy for the first time, and when i walked in the room, he held out his hand to shake it, and i reached for it, and it was... wet. i'm sorry, but in a way, that's really rude. at least wipe your hand on your pants before you reach out to shake someone's hand. it wasn't a very good first impression.

hand shakingggggggg......... ok, i work in an auto shop, and i know my hands are wet and dirty after working on cars, and when i meet the owners, i always wipe my hand on my leg even if there's just water on it. its just a respectable thing to do. you and tom were playing madden, so your hands were probably clammy from the intensity of the game. next time, wipe before you shake. and yea he is one of those "tennis kids".but i happen to like those kinds of people beucase they're really shy, yet have really cool personalities. but my first impression of him was horrible. even my friend didnt like him straight from the start.

SU is... an average school, its just so expensive for kids out of state, and thats why its believed to be hard to get into, beucase many kids don't apply there. and you don't hear many kids going there. offending ppl? i think you hit the spot right there. some kids work their butts off, and don't get into the school they wanted to get into. so if you wanna talk lazy, tell someone else.

I got into UVA but I went to VaTech which is an average school at best... Have fun wherever you go...

BTW VaTech's Industrial Engineering Department is 7th in the nation... their mining engineering department is 1st over all, and their Mechanical engineering dept is 15th overall. Their MBA program is top 60 in the whole world. And they are one of the only two schools in the nation to have the core of cadets program (Texas A&M being the other)

ahhahahah! smitt kid.... i got into su's computer science program. my friend got into their engineering program. both of us still chose tech's engineering program. why you ask? beucase you see syracuse as a "great lacrosse team" and they're all popular and stuff beucase they have mike powell, and you hear about them alot in the lacrosse field. well GUESS WHAT. tech's football team could kill syracuse's!! and football is a WAYYYY WAYYYY bigger sport than lacrosse!! never. i repeat. You can fight it all you want but the truth is that Va Tech is known for their football team. Is it some kind of accident that they got invited to play USC in FedEx Field next year?

Their mining engineering program and Industrial engineering program doesnt match up with Tech's. Plus that school recieves more private funds from its alumni.

yea i lived in Plano TX in middle school. one of my cousins is at Texas A&M right now. One graduated from UT Austin last year, and he came to DC to work with my dad at Lockheed Martin. TX pride... sort of.

Hold on if we are talking about football being the main thing then we should all recall the UVA beat Tech this past year and was ranked higher. If you say well oh Tech has the better engineer program and what not then you tell me the difference between first and third. Finally if you look at the top public school in the nation, which in turn practically means the world, you see University of Cal-Berkley, and University of Virginia. According to Time, USA Today, and Newsweek magizine UVA is almost consistantly ranking UVA almost 100 spots ahead of Tech. Hey where you want to go to school is your business, say you want to party all day and night etc., but after school when you compare diplomias and are competeing for an already tight job market I'm sure you know who will win out....

My madre is an aggie.

If your dad prefers UVA people then that's his perrogative... it's all a preference... I took a campus visit to UVA and had to come back to Blacksburg cause I couldn't stand the people there.. your point?

Do you know what a fluke is??? That's what last year's football game was... do you remember UVA's (then) cherished basketball program being run over by VaTech last year??? Same thing.... I do believe we beat you 5 straight times in a row before the fluke last year?? Also, you guys have been winning the recruiting game in the last 4 years but have nothing to show for it yet...

UVA doesn't rank up there with Berkley and NO FRIGIN WAY is it ranked 100 times above Tech in most categories....

All UVA has is a business school and a medical school. Tech doesn't recieve as much money to open up a medical school program, that's the only way its lacking from UVA...

And UVA grads will have as tough of a time finding jobs as Tech grads. having a diploma that says U-V-A doens't mean that you are an immediate shoo-in or that all the VaTech diplomas will be thrown out.

when your 18-23 years old you have to have some fun... some fun UVA is .....

more than just the people who attend, have attended, or have the grades to attend UT put stickers or show UT pride. UT has more pride than ANY other college i have EVER seen. im not kidding or being ignorant here.

MIKE BRITT, uva and tech have almost the same tuition and boarding rate. we're all instate, so it doesn't make that much of a difference. first of all, where you graduated from only comes into play when you apply for your first job. after that, they relate everything to what you accomplish on your resume. as long as you got a degree, that's all that matters. after college, its how you present yourself as a person during job interviews, and like how well you fit the personality they look for. i'm gonna visit you at uva when you first move in, and point out everything that's bad about uva, and then you can help me move in, and point out the one thing that bothers you about tech. why the heck are we always gonna be at rival schools? even our cousins are at rival schools in TX... oh the family love! but some reason... i still like you alot!

I can argue both ways. There is def a fair share of what is labeled "prep" by the mainstream, but in my opinion is just nice and clean dress, in both NE and the south. I'm a preppy/casual girl. I'm not full time prep 24/7 just because its nice not to have to think about what I'm wearing at 7:00 AM sometimes. I go back home and see all the Landon, Gonzaga, GPrep boys in their polos and khakis with their seersucker. But then I come back to NE for school and see all the boys with the same stuff. So I think that just by association you'll find prep wherever there is money, good schools, pedigree, good taste, or any combination of the four.

i just think the clothes made buy AE and A&F are poor quality. i used to buy clothes from AE, and they are very comfortable. however, they fell apart in 6 months. my AE shorts, which are my favorite, have a huge rip in the butt. i duck taped them up and kept wearing them, much to the dismay of my mom. now i just buy Gap shirts, shorts and pants and lacrosse company clothing. i like the gap quite a bit. i'd buy lucky and diesel if i had the money, but that stuff is expensive.

i still have them. i'm taking them up to camp, and i'll take pictures. the duct tape actually stays on through the wash, too. but not all of us have time to air dry our clothes. i need clothes that last and are durable but still have style. of course, if i spent $80 on jeans, i'd probably take better care of them.

go to the army surplus store to get stuff that could take all the beating of the dryer, and still last through a war...

not to mention, they're extremely inexpensive... and sexy too. :)

i think its wrong for people with money to shop at like an army surplus store, or one of those thrift stores. those stores are suppose to be for people that don't have that much money for clothes, and if a bunch of rich kids are buying those clothes... what does that leave the other people! $80 for a pair of jeans is ridiculous.... like crazy crazy ridiculous!!

whoever said i'm rich? besides, go to an army surplus store and you will see that much of the stuff hasn't be touched in years... so if other people aint gonna buy 'em then i will... their jeans are top notch.

oooh... i do have an $80 dollar pair of jeans... not that i was expecting to get them though... i had told my mom i was interested in camo pants and she went and bought a pair from AF, and if you havn't looked at the price tags... holy cow.

but my army surplus one look just as authentic (duh) and fit better.. also they don't rip or stain...
