i have a big delima and i need some advice

its between lax and football and the time restrictions...
first off, i know this is a lax forum but just dont be like "play lax" without any reasoning... well this one college started to get in contact with me via emails, that showed their intrested in me to play for them in college (hopefully more colleges will also get in touch with me in the future).. they want me to go up in the fall and visit while they'll playing fall ball.. but if i do my nutmeg elite team like last year, they're are about 3 tournys (and the coach said hes coming to at least one to watch me) that are all weekend, so thats a huge conflict with football.. shall i play football or take the risk of trying to get recuited and play college ball.. they're a DIII if that matters to anyone.. im just stuck and i hope that made sense and i wasnt sure what forum it belonged to, so mods u can move it.. but any help/inside would really be welcomed

well is there any other time the coach can come watch you play other than nutmeg elite? if so play football and then have him come to that game. if not i think it comes down to what you want to do after high school, play football or lacrosse in college. but since im not a huge football fan id say play your tourneys.

My dilema and moved to gen. men's.

Also: DIII gives out no scholarship money, i wouldn't do football unless you have a chance to go pro/get scholarship money.

if you're not going to have a future in football than you need to make lax you're #1 priority, unless you have a chance to play college football whih it doesn't sound like. you have to realize what's more important. and you're not going to make a very good impression on the coach if you ask him to come some other time at your convenience so you can play football.

What school is it?

I agree with laxrat22, if you don't plan on having a future in football then go to your lax tournament. If you can't decide which to play in college then that's something only you can figure out.

You people are insane. Play your football game. You will have several chances to show you lacrosse talents in the late fall/early spring. If you are being recruited in football, then you are obviously important to the team. Don't let your football teammates down, because that will reflect more in a college coaches eyes than your talents on the lacrosse field on a saturday/sunday in the fall.

It's corny, but do what you want to man, yeah you have to pick between your two favorite sports (i'm assuming), but if you could get recruited for lax then you definetly have some talent in the area no doubt. Football is a blast but in my experience has been more physically demanding then lax and not as rewarding/fun for me (i'm scrawny), so i focused on lax and built those skills to get on the varsity team. There might be, depending, some way to do both in the fall? if you talk to your coaches and explain the situation it might be possible to do both, yeah that would just suck hardcore but it might be doable. But don't listen to me man, i didn't get checked out by no schools for nothin.
