alright....my team is good but has no team chemistry at all & lack of leadership, i would step up but i live an hour away from where i play so the only time i get to see these guys is practice, so right now in the offseason as far as i know they're screwing around talking about how they were cheated & next year we'll be way better(our record was 3-7)....now my friend & i (he lives near me also, we're the only 2 though) have friends on all the top teams, & have been invited out to their practices to play with them & without bragging to much we can definitley hold our own weight on a top team....would you go play for another team or stick with it?????my friend & i will both be softmores, so we've got 3 more seasons, the team we play for we're on varsity & again no leadership/lack of effort, the other teams are all about 15 minutes further........
thanks everyone

play where you can win, and where the kids are as intense as you are, whats an hour and 15 minujtes when you already drive an hour? Plus playing for a top team will probably get you noticed by teams like duke and nc.

yeah thats good..but obviously dont play for the top team if ur gonna get no play time..wouldnt be worth it...but if u can hold ur own like u said then go for it...its not worth it to be on a losing team because people are f*ckin around

I'm sort of in the same situation as you. Sort of. My school doesn't have the best reputation, but last year we got some really great coaches. But now, we're not sure if the coaches will be coming back or not. So, in the chance that we get really bad coaches or football coaches like in years past, I could end up switching over to a private school that's one of the top ranked teams in the state. I don't want to at all, because it'd mean leaving a ton of friends and a girlfriend, plus my team would probably feel pretty betrayed. But, in the unlikely occassion we get really horrible coaches, I'm willing to make the change. But to you, I'd say stick it out at least for the beginning of the season and see how it is (that's what I'm doing). If it sucks and you're willing, leave. By the way, how do you live an hour away from your school? Do you go to school there or do you just play on their lacrosse team?

ya, my school doesnt have a lax team yet, one of our football coaches played in college & really wants a team but the school says they cant afford it yet...heres the f'd up thing, my freshmen year in high school i asked if i could start one they told me that they'd love to have one & help out but id have to wait 4-6 years...WTF?last time i checked hs only lasted 4 years....????but ya, the only thing is if i start out the season on this team i pretty much have to stick out the entire season, what i think ima do is play fall ball for the old team so how it goes, if i can get some effort(mainly from my D) that they want to learn then ill stay...it is a lot of fun on this team though, some great guys & real talent it's just that they f*** around at the wrong times
anyway thanks again everyone, more responses are welcome
