Yea i was thinking what in the world STX stands for?????!!!! i mean it has to mean somthing? I mean no one really thinks of it and i have been trying to figure it out.

It was on STX's old site...
It actually means "STIX" and has no abbrevation. Apparently, STX is supposed to be pronounced "Stix", but nobody ever caught on, so its just STX.

lax 101 is correct. i had the chance to ask bill tucker (stx's founder) that exact question a few years ago, and that's what he told me

They have solid golf gear, too. I use an STX putter, and, while I'm no Els or Mickelson, I can sink my share of putts.

when i first started i pronounced it stix and kids made fun now i can rub it in thiere faces

Yeah its supposed to be pronounced stix but like lax101 said nobody figured it out

i always got made fun of for calling it stix too. they make field hockey shiz too right? not only lax, so i guess the stix name fits perfectly....hence y its there name. im half asleep im sorry

o man does that suck....i yell at my mom all the time when she says "stix" instead of stx so crap she is right
