New/Old Scandium

I've run a search for this, and if it is elsewhere, I missed it and I apologize. Can anyone offer a comparison of the old school STX Scandium Fulcrum and the new STX Core Scandium? I owned 2 old S. Fulcrums, and one got stolen. I've been looking to try and find another one, but I'm not having that much luck. I figured I might go ahead and buy a Core Scandium, but I wanted to see if there are any major differences. Weight, grip, etc? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

A few differences:

The core has much sharper edges on the shaft, while the scandium has much more rounded edges.

The weight in both shafts is nearly identical. I don't know, I'm not a good judge with weights.

The core has a bigger history of getting dented up, as does the entire new STX shaft line.

All in all, the core is still a very good shaft, but doesn't have that rock-solid reputation that the Scandium has. If you want another Scandium, you may want to wait for Brine's Sc21 shaft (Scandium) to come out (but I have no idea how that will perform, either). Or, you might want to invest in a C555 shaft, which comes around at the same price, and has similar attributes to Scandium metals (slightly lighter, a little weaker).

I would check ebay frequently, There were a couple brand new ones a while back, the light blue, that sold for like 20.00 to 30.00.

I SWEAR by STX c405's. You have no idea. I own 2 right now, and used to own three. I've seen Axe's break and dent tons of times, while I have only gotten one dent on my STX c405's from over 4 years of using them. If you can find an STX c405, buy it and cherish it.

yah i got a Stx C405 Shortie, and Old Old STX c405 Dpole thats undented and just as thick as my mohawk ti.
