If you are a LAx player in the south flordia area, but you dont go to a private school this might be a problem you have. Ok check this out our coach came to school and called a meeting saying that he is not gonna coach us anymore, but me and a couple of guys are pretty pissed. Since we just lost him to a private school. Now our league down in south florida says we cant play any private schools unless we are sanctioned by our school. Which isnt gonna happen, but some how bowling is sanctioned by the school. I think that B.S , so the league has split us up even further by saying we can play any games vs any private school. So that eliminates most of the competition that we has that is within 1 hr of us or more. Agian is the most unfair thing in the entire south florida sports. So i am hearing that palm beach teams and broward teams are also having this problem, i am calling out to anyone in those area. To ask for an alliance if you will call it that to get any club team weather small of big, rich or not, to have a shot at becoming a sanctioned sport in thier school.

no schools are sanctioned in utah. were working on it but being a club sucks. we got in trouble cuz we put flyers all over the school for playoffs. we arent allowed to be affiliated with the school at all.

kentucky is stuck in club too. it sucks. the chess team could probably get acess to the football field and were not allowed to even talk about using it. we have a video game squad at our school that is completely supported by the staff and the lacrosse team gets the shaft. they wonder why kids are all fat in out of shape when new sports are frowned upon and indoor non athletic activities our encouraged...so stupid.

good luck eric, wish there was something that could be done, believe me.

i'm going to be a senior this year and my school is just starting up a lacrosse team for this spring. it's only gonna be JV since it's a first year program... kind of sucks. but i'll play just to have some fun, my last year of school :nofear:

ya this stuff does suck for a lot of us right now, but hey someone is going to have to go through with it.....my school doesn't even have a club team, i play for another school but my other coaches/teachers are really cool about it, so i don't see why your school got upset about putting flyers around.....mine encourages it.lol.....but my suggestion is just find someone within your school that played/finds it interesting & suck up basically....i didnt have to cause theres loads at my school that love it so they love me but that's the easiest way to get some type of support from the school

I asssume from your name you play for Tate's Creek? That's pretty crazy. But yeah, from what I hear from people, lacrosse is rarely a sanctioned sport unless you're on the East Coast or it's been in the area awhile (like in Colorado). We're trying to get club status though.

in the entire state of nevada, there are 8 highschool club teams and two womens teams. it sucks. there is not a single lacrosse store in the entire state, or within 150 miles of my area.

my high school just got lacrosse started up in it when the youth leauges first players started to get there and we have already been sanctioned so weve now got a varsity and a jv but that could be because were on the east coast like some of you have been saying but if you have a strong youth program then the highschool will probally soon create a varsity level lacrosse team you just have to make yourself heard by the school

Right now our teams aren't sanctioned, but we're allowed to be affiliated with the school and use it's name. And the word on the street is that in 2007 our school is goin to sanction it. w00t

The chess club DOES get access to school property, and the weird video game stuff is insane, how is that worth the school spending money?
