He plays Baseball...and hes actually pretty good; well, i was trying to get him to play lacrosse, get him intrested, but its not working that wasnt working. i tried to force him to practice with me, cuz most of my friends that play lax r away for the summer.

Pay him.
I'm trying to get my little bros into lax, too...but their taste in sports changes every hour, so I'll just have to wait 'til they're older and more intelligent...or less intelligent. Whichever gets them to play lax.

My brother is six. And very few kids in my town play. So I am in a pretty tight hole.

Play some baseball, and then play some lacrosse. Or find a way to combine the two. Like have him hit balls to you and you catch them.

my bro plays but never practices I pay him a buck for like an hour of practice and he will just play d on me his slap checks hurt like a mofo but you just goto let them get into it on there own.

Getting paid to nail your older brother with a metal pole...

I don't understand why they wouldn't want to.

I tried getting my older brother to play but hes scrawny so after a few checks he gave up...i gave him the better set of pads too lol...

I also tried in vein to get my younger brother into lacrosse.. It's almost impossible to force them do play something they might not be interested in.. My advice is to show him how much fun it can be.. *and.. most kids won't play a sport unless their friends do

my brother is 11 too and he is good at baseball too well when i want to have a catch he uses his baseball glove so he can practice his sport while i practice mine. And if you want him to play Defense umm my brother usually likes hitting me with a pole.

when he plays, compliament him. Any man will fall into that trap. If he thinks hes really good at it( and he might be) then he'll prob sign up and practice w/ u. Dont over do it with the compliaments though.

My bestfriend has a brother who is about 4 yrs older, and used to love hockey( everyone in their family plays except their mom). My friend was a good goalie, and his brother wanted someone to shoot on a lot. How he got my friend to play was make deals with him. My bestfriend hated it, but he played a lot. It got him so good that he would play goalie for his brothers team( a team 2-4 yrs older)

Threaten to rape him in the butt if he doesn't... :naughty:

Haha jk. I have a sick mind. :D Just pay him, or tell him you'll do his homework for a week once school starts. Anything to get him going.

i work on my hand eye coordination and reflexes w/ my brother. i get my brother on rollerblades and he shoot tennis balls at me while im in the net with a lacrosse stick. or i just threaten him and chase him around the house with a steak knife.

^haha lol. yea we have a catch too, him using a glove, but he hates doing this for sum reason i have no clue...i have a brine backyard goal 4ft. by 4ft. I make him get in goal with a tennis racket and i shoot on him, but thats w. a mini stick tho.

let him beat you the first time or come close. they always come back for more and they think they can win. and when they start getting annoying just lay them out and run like hell because they WILL go after you with the stick

I have basicly the same problem. I have no one in my area who plays lacrosse. I don't want to become bad during the offseason. I always try to get my brothers to whip balls at me so I can practise saving them.

just give him some time, i have former players, when the older one was in 8th grade his little brother hardly ever wanted to play lax with him, by the time the younger brother was in 7th grade they were playing lax all the time.

he will probably come around, dont push him too hard or force him as it will probably just result in his not liking lacrosse and we dont want that!

the same thing is going on here. my brother is an avid skateboarder, things he guna get sponsorec and that it is going to be his life. anyway my dad is making him play a sport untiul he graduuates high school and he used to play bball and baseball but didn't like them so he picked lacrosse because I played it. And he got a got stick, razor head harrow shaft so that he would get interested in it and hell ofer to play sometimes but most of the time my dad forces him to without me saying anything.
