umm nice green picture. butt um its pretty sloppy in some parts, clean in others. the middle is attrocious (sp?)... needs shooters, and another picture showing the pocket depth. clean it up a bit.. it not that bad it just needs to be cleaned up.

yup they're right, thats the biggest msitkae when stringing any traditional variation. Its gunna be really whippy now, i suggest redoing the diamonds connecting the middle to outside leathers.

and you made more dimonds on the two far sides then the inner sides.

The knots Tman is talking about (I think) is where you tie the nylon around the leather your supposed to interlock the 2 knots that are tied around the same part of the leather that way they dont slip apart making the pocket extremely messy

lol what are you having trouble with? im sure we could help you out if its the interlocking thing. although i must say thats a sound decision, custom pockets cant do anything a good mesh pocket cant.
allyearlax
08-14-2005, 09:03 AM
well. i can do it but like. it looks really ugly. and i'm having trouble on the outer leathers because i have to match up the crosslace on the outer leathers with the inner leathers but i can't so my interlocking thing looks really messed up

What you need to do, Is restring it. First do the center as tight as you can, Make sure the twists are tight. Then you need to do the sides. make sure that each pass through on the leather you line it up in the middle of the twists. Then put a ball and a knife in and string the sides.

ya i know. i can't line up the sides. that's my problem
PCHSlax5
08-14-2005, 02:28 PM
since there are so many holes on the sidewall check that you went through the same ones on each sides, that might help if your having trouble lining it up

u did a much nicer job, how about a side pic to see pocket depth?, haha the whip problem could be fixed by adding some shooting strings!! hahhahaha

Looks a lot better. The side view looks a little odd though. It looks like your inner nylons are really loose
allyearlax
08-14-2005, 08:43 PM
is the inner nylons the one that are holding the ball?

can someone give more critisism? my accuracy seems to be off a bit. can someone tell me if this is me or the stick?
LFLax12
08-15-2005, 12:18 AM
i agree that the inner nylons look loose, that could contribute to the accuracy problem, or you could be releasing sidearm a bit, id tighten the inner nylons while making sure you keep the pocket symmetrical
allyearlax
08-15-2005, 07:43 AM
which are the inner nylons?
and how do i tighten them syemtrically?

The green lines show where the inner nylons are...
For tightening them..I would just go from the top and work out the slack...but do one knot...then switch to the other side..its kind of hard to explain but make sure the track of the pocket stays in the middle and doesnt end up like an S
so say the knot on the top is 1 then below that is 2...then below that is 3? lol
and there are 2 sides left and right....
Go left 1 then right 1
left 2 then right 2
left 3 then right 3
just do that all the way to do the bottom so the track is still straight and one side isnt crazy tight while the other is really loose...
sorry if that was confusing

were you able to get a pic or even put shooters in yet?
