So I was looking at a head (not strung by me) that had rolled shooters so I decided to give it a try based on the pics. I'm not sure if I did this right, in fact I doubt I did. So please give me tips on how to improve.

By the way I don't intend to leave that on there, just for now.
Thanks.

Simple physics, there's a trade-off for everything. Your playing style may not adapt to rolled shooters as well as weaverd or vise-versa. Try each and see for yourself.

I hear that rolled shooting strings (not hockey lace, string) you can feel better when you pass. But I'm not sure of this, and no matter what it's all preference.

In my experiences, rolled shooters are better for naturally "whippier" meshes, such as 6D and softer mesh. It's hard to explain. Weaved shooters just feel like they hit/affect a ball leaving a pocket more than rolled shooters, creating whip. With rolled, you get more of a smoother release/less contact with the ball (but hey, that's just what i felt). I always roll for diamond meshes now, and I get no whip with them.
edit: and i always roll with nylon shooters, and it gives a great feel for the ball.
