Wrong. Robbin the hood and second hand smoke are way better. Still great though.

311 is the indecent exposure law in Omaha. They made their name because P-nut (their bassist) and some friends got arrested for pool hopping naked.. and the code they violated was 311

I'm not going to pick one side on this, but I can tell you that NEITHER of these bands exist without the influence, innovation, and experimentation of a band called THE CLASH. 311 and Sublime are great--don't get me wrong, but without the Clash, man, it just doesn't happen.

Weren't The Clash a punk rock band, with Sublime being almost stoner-rock and 311 just being rock? Rock started way before The Clash, let me assure you that.

Sublime is one of the greatest bands ever. Each of their cd's is amazing and I don't see any band coming close to them anytime soon. They defined the punk/ska/reggae genre. I don't really see any Clash influence on Sublime to be honest but hey, wutever. They still are amazing and have 311 dominated.

Their 1st major label album titled "Music" That was released back in 1994 Is probably their best overall album

Also their Live album is very good. Along with From Chaos. Soundsystem and Transistor aren't that good IMO

and personally i think sublimes song lyrics have a lot more meaning, i mean if you look at something like April 26, 1992, it shows they were political and everyone still loved them and got behind them because there music was awesome while getting their point across

I really do feel sorry for a lot of the kids on here who I know at least of few of you really have never heard any other song by 311 besides "Amber" and only about 3 Sublime songs. Because that it was happens at my school and I can just laugh at those pathetic kids. 311 has much better instrumentals, if you dont believe me listen to "Applied Science" for Chad Sexton's drum solo or listen to "Feels so Good" for P-nuts nasty bass solo. Sure 311 has gone downhill in their last couple albums IMO (Evolver, Dont Tread on Me) but their old stuff is classic. Yes I still like Sublime, but I will always love 311. They tour nonstop and every March 11 they have 311 day and play about a 5 hr concert. You can't beat that. 311 is my favorite band of all time
