Ok im usually not a person to resort to taking pills or anything to get skinny but this stuff worked pretty good for one of my brothers friends...I've done some research on it and found out a few things but im wondering if you guys know anything about dexatrim, or know of anyone whose taken it, good results or bad ones?
I know that a pill cant do everything so ive been drinking as much water a day as i could...(about a gallon) and ive been working out every night...
i start on sundays and do low weight workouts to just get rid of fat...i allready got the muscle under there sumwhere...
sundays-arm/shoulder
mondays-abs/back
tuesdays-legs
then wednessdays i go back to arm and repeat the whole thing
saturday i mix them up and do a short workout of all 3...then start back over on sunday
ive been running 2 miles every other day for a week now and im allready down about 10 pounds since about 2/3 weeks ago...which im really liking..people are starting to comment about how much better i look after getting rid of some of my weight..but i wanna get down more...about 15 pounds to about 155...im 5'6" and im kinda stocky so i think 155 is a good weight...maybe a little lower
what do you guys think of my workout plan? my weight goals, and dexatrim?

Forget the pill, try it without it see if you can reach your goal. Do you have chest in your routine? You also one day a week may want a rest day. Good luck, sounds like its working well. Dont worry if you see a plateau in losing weight its normal.

Before i tried the dexatrim, i was gradually losing weight but it wasnt really that much,it was like maybe 2/3 pounds every 2 weeks and then i would just stop and gain it back...i want to get down so i can be in shape for fall ball....over season everyone always said i had tons of potential if i could get in shape and lose my gut...
I think im gonna stop using it for a bit and then maybe just use it to push myself over the plateaus
I do have chest routine...i work out on my total gym every monday wednesday and friday, and i bench as well a bit..it all goes in with my arm shoulder workout...I think i'll make saturday my off day...
Im also taking just a regular multi-vitamin, and im trying to eat like my grandpa...(hes got diabetes so hes gotta eat a lot healthier) and that was working for a bit too...

That's a great way to kill yourself.
Dexatrim is for soccer moms that watch General Hospital; not athletes.

ha..its cool i was looking for opinions and thats his opinion lol...i went out to my gym and talked to the guy there and he took out one of those caliper things to see body fat and said i need to lose about 20 pounds and he told me to go get meal replacement bars, and have 2 of those a day, and 3 smaller meals..at about 12-3-5 and have the protein/meal replacement bars when i wake up and before i go to bed...
other then that he said not to use the dexatrim stuff because its not good for someone my age...so there gone now...i got a case of the meal replacement bars and im goin in every tuesday and friday to work out there now lol

I thought it was proven that low weight exercise wernt effective at burning fat or building musle, they were just kinda pointless.

unlesss you're training for a marathon. If you want to loose weight, lift weights for maintance so your muscles don't get smaller( ie full body once a week is all you really need), and do cardio to burn off the fat( 2-3 times a week, with days of rest inbetween).

Actually, when it comes to lifting and muscle mass you may want to try putting on 5 pounds of muscle. I say this because the more muscle you have on your body, the more calories your body burns. Now I believe that the key is where you put on the muscle, because it seems like you are doing the low weight exercises to keep from getting bulky/slower. While that may be true if you put on alot of muscle mass in the chest and arms (because with a huge chest and biceps will somewhat limit you range of motion when shooting), if you put on some more muscle in your legs and in your back/shoulders it can benefit you more than you can think. I'm not saying to not do Chest and arms, but many people neglect or under work their back and legs.
On a side note, it seems you are really trying hard to lose this weight and I hope things work out for you, but realize that you need to change your eating habits when your NOT dieting if you want to keep the weight off for good.
