I love the way the kids sprint back to the dugout after they strikeout. No reflection or sulking--just sprint back to the dugout.

Yeah, that was pretty cool. I was friends with a couple kids on the Apopka team, so it was cool to see them play on T.V. But I haven't really been watching any of it this year.

because its the only kind of baseball where money isnt the reason the players play...they do it for fun

Hm.. maybe because some people like baseball? Contrary to what seems to be the most popular vote here, baseball is "America's Pastime"

damn right braves rule...and as for you Palmettolax45 ...the marlins are horrid and there pitching is good but have no Offesense...atleast not as much as the braves do...and they play like what 4 rookies in the starting lineup....get used to the braves dominating the nl east for the next 5-7 years

I was six feet tall when I was 12. A size 14 shoe, to boot.
At 25, I'm 6'3'' with a 16 shoe.
There are some serious mutant freaks out there--guess I'm one of them.

keep it on subject people, if you really want to discuss mlb search for a thread or start a new one.
but to stay on topic, i really enjoy watching the kids play not only because they're playing for pride and for fun but because there fundamentals are amazing (especially japans) and the emotions bring a hole different aspect to the game. Pitchers can get shaken up more easily, confidence can come and go with one pitch.

um ya the 1 world series is making the the 14 straight defending division champs jealous ( i dunno if that's the right number of years but i know its close) and if anyone is going to beat atlanta in the playoffs it's going to be the padres, ya laugh all you want because i'm kinda laughing too but they've taken 5 of the 6 against atl this season
