New Riddell Football Helmets?

Did anyone elses football teams get the new helmets? Everybody on my team hates them but we have to wear them for some safety reason. They're designed so the fase mask takes shock or something but they look stupid and are uncomftorble. If you have them what do you think?

ive never used one of those but i say they look cool and plus they have vents on top. our helmets are hot beyond belief. i put mine in the frezzer before games but i dont think im supposed to

Yeah, my school gets them, but its only the starters. I think they're so comfortable.

Also for my team we have to use these weird face masks and no stores around here carries the new ones.

Your team is crazy. The revolutions are the most comfortable football helmets i have ever worn. Not to mention for a football helmet its extremely light. My entire team loves them. And the face mask is not ment to take the shock. The helmet is designed so the side of the head has more protection becuase most concussions are caused with a blow to the side of the head not the top.

Anyways, does anybody in north jersey know where to get face (yes i can spell face i was rushing) masks for them? All the stores I've looked at only have the old ones.

omg these helmet rock..we just started getting them last year..all the varsity guys hav one except me and a couple other guys..i play mostly JV but i play varsity kick return and punt return..they r the coolest helmets ever tho..they look awesome with our decals and they rly comfortable i think..i cant wait to get one next year :thumbsup:

Actually now that you mention it my friend hates these helmets. He's never tried one on, I bet, but he thinks they look dumb. He also thinks RATM is "too boring."

Our team has a bunch of different helmets. A few guys have the riddells and they really like them. I have the new schutt and they are really comfortable too.

I don't think they're that bad, to tell you the truth. I think they're meant to keep you cooler and lighter, and anything that makes me more comfortable I'm a fan of.

LHSlaxNfootball those new schutts are sick, i wish our team had them. But i have a revoultion, when i first got it the forehead was killing me. but after the heat it molded and now its so comfortable. Everyone one wanted one on our team because they are so comfortable. As for where to get facemakes try www.sportsdepot.com or www.footballamerica.com not sure if they'll have it or not but thats your best bet.

I'm pretty sure they don't sell the facemasks seperately, you order them already on the helmet. (I might be wrong) I wish my school got some the new Schutt DNA's, our regular Riddell's are uncomfortable.


EDIT- I personally don't like the look of the Revolutions, the DNA's are sick.

I just realized the reason why everyone hates them is because we're all used to the schutts and they have a better pad in the front. The front pad has made people bleed.

Ya, i got a revolution for my school, and at first, the top pad hurt. but after a couple weeks, it molded to my head shape and its comfortable, but if only was as light as a lacrosse helmet...

I think those are pretty ugly. I like the conventional one. The one where the facemask isnt smashed right into your face.

How much did they cost?? I ask because we decided to get the Schutt DNA helmets that were about $180 piece. They're awesome because they have two separate air blatters: one around the sides of the head and one over the top of it. They're proven to cut down on concussions by 50% when they were tested. They do it all without sacrificing looks or comfort, but adding to them. They look like a normal helmet, but they even give you a better field of vision so they're kinda wide though.
