I know that their is already a thread on haircuts, but I really want to have long hair when school starts. My mom wants me to get my hair cut, because she says, it wont look good long because I have black hair and it gets wavy when long. So could anybody that has shaggy hair that is dark, show me a picture. I'll then show my mom what I want my hair to look like. I'm looking for the surfer/skater look. Thanks!

Dude just let it grow. Be yourself not somebody you saw off a picture. But to answer your question. My hair is kinda curly and its about 6 or 7 inches. So when I get out of the shower I use this wax stuff, then blow dry my hair and it is fine. Its like redken working wax or sumthin. Try it (or some other type) and see if you like it.

true I just got a three buzz and its awesome I never sweat my hair used to be on my neck like 4-5 inches long but I would just say I mom I want to try a new look and its my hair so how would you know how its going to turn out.

i was trying to grow out my hair and it was getting kinda shagy and was starting to look like a mullet so today i went to get a trim, but the lady cut it too short so now i gotta start all over. all you people w/ long hair did it look a tad bit mullety at one point?

I've seen a few white people look cool with dreads but its not an easy look to pull off but more props to you if you can.

at a private school, yes they can. they can also make you shave, should the dean think you look like you need to. if these thing arent done promptly, detention is usually given.

I have straight as an arrow, shiny dark brown hair and It's gettin sorta long, my bangs are probably around 7 inches or so, my mom is making me get a haircut before school starts, she thinks it looks queer or something. I think it needs no cutting until it reaches the shoulders on the sides. Got about another 2 inches until then. I keep up with it, so I don't see what she's complaining about. It's clean, and not like ponytail-ish at all, or mulletish. it's just basically lax hair, you know shaggy, but with no wave. Everyone at school digs it, so I figure why cut it? Although it really gets in the way for cross country. Unless it bothers you, keep it long.

my hairs on the sides is on my chin and infront kinda shading out my eyesin the back its like pretty long but its look sexy and gets all the ladys so that ok
and im in a band so long hair helps
