Yeah, I agree with lax4life. I'm not sure about how you could get on another school's varsity, go talk with the Athletic Director at your school and see if they know.

play with the squad that has better skill. To be the best you have to practice with the best. As far as starting a varsity team you need to find a girls varsirty sport that will be able to flourish. Most high school sports have an equal number of sports offered to both genders. More than likely you will have to start out as a club varsity sport. That will entail the players doing fund raisers to raise money for uniforms, buses, referee's, etc. No matter what everything costs money. Your school looks at profit and what the sport can bring to the table. You can't charge for people watching the games. However, you can ask for donations to get the program on its feet.
I played high school ball in Virginia and we did not become a recognized varsity sport until I was a Junior. It took 1 year for all of the high schools in my county to take to lacrosse but it took 6 years after that for tham to become varsity sports.
Good ways to raise money for the club team.
1 Lacrosse shoot out. everyone goes door to door promoting the sport and asking for sponsor ship. They can put up a certain amount of money saying that they will donate $25 no matter what (it doesn't have to be $25 it can be how much they want to put up), or you can have them put up a certain amount of change per shot, i.e. 25 cents a shot. there will be a set day on which the shoot out will take place. When that day comes the people who actually have sponsors shoot an X amount of times. Don't make the number high and have limitations on how much they can donate per shot. This shows them that you are not trying to rip them off.
example: "Good Afternoon sir/maam, I am part of the YOUR SCHOOL Lacrosse Team and I am going door to door to raise money. We have an event coming up called the Lacrosse shoot out and I am loking for people to sponsor me. We are given the opportunity to shoot 25 times for the money that is offered. If you decided to put the max amount of money down per shot it would be $2 a shot equallying $50. If you would like to put down a set amount of money that we will recieve no matter what that is fine too. either way we would appreciate your support in possibly making Lacrosse a Varsity Sport."
2 Ask for donations at games. This is where the parents need to get involved. there will need to be voluteers to ask for donations at games. also ask the school for help through a concession stand. whatever is made it would be a 50/50, 60/40, 70/30 deal. the negotiations would have to be between the coach and the athletics director. if the athletic director aproves it may need to be approved at a higher level.
3. Have monthly LAX club meetings with the players and the parents discussing how much you have raised in that month and set a goal for the following month. things that need to be factored/payed for are Buses, Referees, uniforms, equipment, etc.
4. get creative. the fundraisers don't have to stop there. there are many ways to raise money. If you research it you will find a way.
I hope this has been helpful to you and I wish you luck in your travels.
