Hey Guys;

Not so sure if this is where this thread should go, but what the heck. Basically, I'm in the market for D heads. My little brother (who plays club ball here at USC) just broke two octanes last night at practice (doing long passes, not supposed to happen, right? What a crappy lax story that makes, almost as bad as when I broke my foot working at a go cart track...even though I lied and said I did it break dancing...but I digress...) so I'm looking for a sturdy head to buy. I'll probably do the purchasing though lacrosse digest. Price isn't all that much of a object, although I'd rather not have something with those freakin' Magic Fingers (Copyright 2004, Brine Inc. all rights reserved, etc). I'd prefer something that lets me get that deep <cou(illegal)gh> pocket that D-fellahs prefer with the wicked channeling action. Any suggestions?

I've already got:

2 hypes (apparently I'm not supposed to believe in the hype)
2 G-Forces
2 other octanes (hey, e-lacrosse had a sale...)
an excaliber
a edge plus
two protons

probably some other heads lying around that I can't really remember right now....

The worst part is that I custom dyed 'em..(but I'll still be entering them in that LN custom dye contest) over christmas and this is like our 5th practice. If all else fails, I'll just buy a whole bunch of G-Forces...

i would say a revo or maybe try a razer thats what i have on my d stick now, and depending on if u don't mind the little extra weight get the bionic, it's super stiff and has a great pinch

and i too say go for the wizard. its an incredibly strong head. i've seen it break other people's heads during a faceoff. it just bent the head till it snapped...it was a sad day...:cry

I say try the X2, I like it so much because it not only has good ball control but also is a good stiff head. I play with it and I love it, well good luck on your decision ;)

X2 is a great head for D. if he keeps breaking them, there's always the $15 e-lacrosse octane. i'm pretty suprised that they broke. ive got one on the D-pole i let my players use, and it seems pretty tough.

still the X2 is my choice

I'm a fan of the X2 personally. I havn't tried a Wizard yet, but I want to. I like the X2 alot more than Edges or Revos. The Scoop works well with the angle that D-Poles give when scooping infront of you. It is also quite stiff and is very easy to string well.

I treat it like **** and smack it against alot of things, and its doing great durability-wise.

So I would definately go with the X2, OR just use your excalibur if you can deal with an onset head. That way you dont have to waste your money.

I like the Revo and Edge the best so far. Both are really strong and aren't too narrow.
