what's your favorite check. mine is a one handed wrap w/ a pole. and an over the head cheack w/ a shorty.

A well timed lift as they go to pass or shoot, and just watch that ball sail way off target...possession my team.

lonpole slap/wrap check, dont know the name, but you wave stick over the head of other guy, and when he drops the stick to a side, you come crashing down on it

i'm also a fan of the lift. i personally like trying to lift the attackers shoulderpads up. really annoying him.

i dunno, i love them all & all are extremley sweet when used right, but my favorite has to be what we call the ding dong....its like you act like your going for an over the head check while they're driving to cage, maybe even give a studder step if your quick enough, they bring they're stick forward to dodge & then you come down on it, cause it works with even the most experienced players(they see you go back & get excited), & there is nothin they can do once you come down...their expressions are pricless

thats the only disadvantage about being a short defenseman...takes dingdongs and over the head checks out of my arsenal unless the attackman is smaller than me

I dont knwo what its called but john grant dose it, you fake one way so the ball carrier go the other way and you throw a one handed no look check, soo sweet if it works........

im also bigger than most other kids if not taller stronger but i like to get my stick right between the attackers body and his stick when hes holdin with 2 hands, it gets em tied up nicely and allows for an easy shoulder barge......but overhead is another fave......hitting also works nicely

over the head is fun, wrap checks are too when running side by side someone and poke checks are so simple

Hey, In Australia we only got one ref a game. Everyone else got 2 or 3. This whole year they only gave us one ref. Even in the finals!! So much stuff went unseen.

The best check has to be the body check/ wrap around combo. When you body check, roll to whoever your checking's wrong side then do a blind one handed wrap around check. it looks pro if done correctly

i like to go for his bottom hand then when he moves his stick i de-stick him. its like a reverse ding-dong. either that or a plain old body check

The only downfall of the wrap around is in box it gets called 9 times out of 10. Unless of course its a new or dumb referee, then wrap away

wrap around with a dpole as a hard, are yall talking about wrap for D or for middies/attack???the D wrap is easy standing still, but adding the movement & balance, & position in htere & a wrap check can throw you off
