View Full Version : Moving to new school and playin for their team

Well I am a sophmore now, and i moved to a new school this year, today was my first day at this new school, well my old school played my new school in the championships, my old school won 11-3 and theyre like rivals and stuff, my new school like never won a game agiants my old school, and this year i am going to try out for varsity, idk if i'll make it, but i'll try my best. I know these lacrosse player wont like me cuze were like rivals, for fall ball, what should i do to get better, i am 6ft and 215 lbs, and i am an attackman, i wana get a lot better b4 the season starts next year, right now, i shoot around everyday, about 30 mins a day, and play wall ball like 2x a week , i used both hands. what can i do to get better at this school

1. Find a wall nearby throw on that everyday after school. About 60 throws with each side.

2. The Sticky: Cardio Program at lacrosse forums has a great cardio program to work with your running

3. Work-out. Upper body and legs. Alternate days. I'm sure you could find work outs some were. i.e. upper body monday's and wednesday's and legs tuesday's and thursday's

4. Eat healthy. No skipping meals. Atleast 3-4 good ones each day

Good Luck. And remember no matter how much of a pain this is, remember its to get you better for lacrosse. :thumbsup:

ya man whenever you wanna take a break just push yourself harder & picture your own personal rival, & think about how bad you want to beat him...the onyl thign really is ractice, & be sure to give your new teammates a chance maybe they'll be cooler about it then you think(you could break the ice by giving them some tips on the way yall do something, or complimenting one of them on something in the championship last year)
