I went out to practice today with the stick I just strung. Every shot went way left or way right. Over hand and side arm. I have no idea why. Is this whip? No pocket? Am I just having an off day? It felt like the ball was comin out way to early I got so frustrated .How do i fix this? :banghead: :banghead:

wow worst pocket ever...umm i suggest u send it out to someone to have it restrung because its just bad, or break it in somehow...idk tighten the shooters and move the pocket up

it looks like there is too much of a gap between the top of the head and the top of the mesh...the ball might b catching the lip of the head...and wen u say that the ball is leaving earlier than u thnk it should, it looks like the ball might b getting caught on the v-shape shooter b/c the pocket is deep and sits kinda funny, so mayb u can mess around w/ that shooter

Yeah thats what I see tighten up the top string and it should be better.

what i like to do with U/V shooters is make them really wide like 5-6 diamonds wide... or just do 3 straight shooters...

yeah it looks like the pocket sits too low and the balls getting caught

The pocket is low because I wet the mesh and pounded. I moved it up. So do you think i should be good now?
AND for future reference how loose should the bottom shooter string be?

if u can quickly go outside and throw the ball against a wall a couple of times...u'll see if it's good or not, but hopefully it should b. The bottom string should b loose enough so wen the ball sits in the pocket, the pocket isn't lower than the shooter otherwise it might get caught (like in the 1st picture u posted, it looks like the pocket sits lower than the shooter)

OK it shoots perfect now. No problem at all. Thanks. I guess it was all the pocket.
One thing though. The ball hits the lip. I can feel it when it comes out, it doesn't affect the shot . I have STX Dura mesh so it pretty soft. Is this a problem?

yeah that's wut i pointed out b4...after the pocket wears in a little bit more, it might become a problem b/c the mesh will sit a little bit below the lip causing the ball 2 shoot down, it should b ok for now but wut u could do is tighten the top so the mesh is closer to the top of the head

it might have been throwing off the plastic?...

hippolax is right, i used to have that mesh and its possibly the worst mesh ive ever EVER played with in my life. Either it throws off the plastic (and goes wide left) or it throws right before the plastic (and goes wide right). My suggestion is to get it restrung with better mesh and have someone with experience string it for you.

im not concerned about expirience. Its not my game stick. I want to learn how to string. That was the first head I ever strung, i dont excpect it to be perfect.

for the lip thing, try pulling the topstring so that the mesh is actually a little bit over the lip, so its not hitting it...also try putting a nylon right under the lip so that it wont hit it
and tighten ur shooting strings gradually
