FACEOFFS .... any advice for how to or what head?

im a rook but im fair at faceoffs and im starting for my college team in the spring. ive been working to get better but any advice would be sweet. peace love and lax.

hmm i dont like the excailbur or turbo just cause they arent offset. Most people who are going to face off will play more than just facing off unless your a FOGO

besides that i would suggest a Brine Vapor because its a mod offset, its cool (very important), Its cheap and its readily available. Its a good face off stick and its a nice stick that could last you a long while

I like Warrior Odysseys for FO's...but I like onset heads for that too so :agree

i use a matrix... it's a great, flexible fo head and it's great for field play, too

a onset head would be best, but true most people don't like using them for real anymore. I have a oz and a excalibur, whihc i have had to use before as back up sticks, and once you play with an onset head you can't tell the differene, true it does take a while. and then the minute you pick up an offset head, you onset one feels soo weird. anywhoo
the oz is very good for face offs, i got a killer pinch in it and i like the way itplays
the excalibur i have never actually used to faceoff, but it seems like it would be good head, oz seems better

but if you want to go the offset way, which could be better overall, the vapor is a tight head. I use an evo normally and i like the amount of flex it gives. but really it is all a matter at prefrences

the best thing to do doring a face off is to rake the ball under your legs so your other middie can pick it up

definitley the Oz right on man its the best for faceoffs ive won about 80% of my face offs this year with that thing
