dodges

currently, i use 3 dodges, face, split and roll. are there any other good dodges i should use?

Not to beat a dead horse, but you might want to examine previous posts in TLF on dodges. I found mention of everything from "Question Mark Dodges" to "Alley Dodges". I would have to say that my all-time favorite dodge is a bull dodge, which of course is not so much a dodge per se, but rather full on collision and shouldering.

listen... you really dont use anything more than those 3 dodges in lax, esp if you're a middie. everything else is pretty much just a combination of those 3 dodges. i only knew three dodges, and by just doin one or two of those three dodges, i was known as one of the quickest, most elusive guys in the league. and our other big offensive guy only knew three dodges as well. we were the two most dangerous guys on o, just because we had quick feet, kept it simple, and had a good sense of when to pass it off and when to drive to the cage.

jst mix other things in with those dodges like add a studder step in with a split dodge which is what i do

fake split i like more beacuse you get the same effect deception effect of the split doge without haveing to lose any speed or change your momentium.. come to thikn of it i dont' know why any does a split dodge at ever over the fake split

because the split is more effective as a whole... you've got the whole defense goin one way, then you change directions, and they've gotta reset and regroup real quick.

i like a cross between the split dodge and a speed dodge, so as you switch hands and you accelerate past the defender

inside roll, hesitation (studder step) and, you guessed it "The Finalizer." What can i say.

I excel at the Rocker Dodge...with your back to the defender, you step as if you're rolling off one side, and when he reacts you turn and roll off the other side...then you go and score while he's trying to figure out why he just fell on his face. :guns:

I would suggest just keeping it simple. Split, Roll, Face, and combinations of the 3 have not failed me yet. Mix it up a little, invent your own combos and you wont have any problems. Just do them fast and effectively.

yeah i dont really have a ton of dodges. i run by the guy, if i cant beat him i roll and change hands to get a shot off
