I'm from northern British Columbia, terrace to be exact. Our league is going into its third year of exsistance and popularity is rising very fast. I am going into my third season next year. I have never played field, I am in the running for B.C provincial player of the year. i am 6 foot 2 and about 190 lbs. I carry my stick with me virtually everywhere i go. I am goign to try and get into some universities/colleges for field in the next few years, i am goign into grade 11. I am not sure if i should stay in Canada and try and make a junior team or if i should go play field in the states. Any body have any suggestions or ideas.?
Thanks

Well if you go to some top high schools in Maryland or New York, you'll definitely get more college looks just for going to those schools, but as long as you're good enough, you'll get noticed.
I say, play your heart out in Canada, but attend as many recruiting camps and tournaments in the US as you can.

Go talk to Jeff Cathrea at SFU, and I believe he owns a conditioning company up there as well, I just can't think of the name right now. He put on a camp last season, and besides being an absolutely incredible field and box player, he should be able to give you guidance.

Go to camps... thats how you get noticed. You'll find all the connections you need at camps. Most instructors can hook you up. You could play in canada and come to the states during the summer attending camps.
