i play some crease on man up and normally if the middies got the ball im setting a screen for the goalie but ready for a quick stick... im also farther up when the middies have it

when the attack has it im tip toeing that crease circle ready to put one in quick stick

but what else should crease attackers do

also

my team plays a 2 1 3

with an attacker and midfielder playin crease

how does the middie play crease...

the attack creaseman plays closer in... closer to the goalie and the middie plays farther out

but wat are some good tips for any type of creasemen??

thanks

well, a good tatic for two men on the crease would be to set picks for one another. that is, stay on the same line, and play more of a 2-2-2. that way, each person can set a really good pick. also, when running a 2-2-2, my team moves to ball to the attackmen, and then the two creasemen set picks for the top middies to cut in. chances are at least one will be open.

tips would be: when the ball is with the attack, play a high crease and constantly cut to the ball and set picks for the opposite middie up top.
when the ball is with the middies up top, play low, right on the line, and set picks for either the opposite attackman or the other top middie.
never stop running though, it only adds two more obstacles for anyone driving or shooting (you and your d-man)

yeh i agree, pretty much play the opposite corner of where the ball is so if its bottom right play a high left crease because that opens up room if the man with the ball decides to iso

Hey I play the crease as well hence my name.....

But just like broslax said pretty much play opposite the ball so if the ball is at X play high if the ball is up top play low etc.....

Setting screens in front of the goalie is always good, but I think the most important thing is well especially in Oz is to set picks either off the ball or for the dodger......

when your playing in either a 1-4-1 or a 2-2-2 with two in the crease it is important to set small picks and cuts off each other which will hopefull hang one of the d man creating a free man in the crease for the quick shot.

I play crease too and we sometimes play two on the crease as well. The most diffcult thing to do is play with a middie who isn't use to playing on the crease. You have to move oppsite of the ball, set picks for each other and time it all so you are creating scoring chances. The best thing to do is take charge and get the middie to work with you. If the ball moves to X, grab the mid get him to move up with you. Keep setting picks for him and tell him to cut. It takes a lot of practice, but once the mids learn how to play the crease with you, you can create a lot of scoring chances by working together.

Always be moving and setting picks for eachother, also try to sneak away from your d and get a shot from one of the sides.
