When you guys play wall ball, do you let the ball bounce on the ground or catch is it the air off the wall?

This is in the wrong forum, the open forum is for anything Not related to lacrosse...
But i catch it right off the wall, when i practice its almost to the point of like quick sticking off the wall and getting back ready for the ball to come back to me...when i want to train harder i switch to left hand, and then go right to left, left to right...There is probably more answers to this in the Tactics and Training Section, You should ask a mod to move the thread there...
Hope i helped

The only time I ever purposely let the ball hit the ground is when I'm shooting, and thats if I'm standing far back from the wall and cranking it low. If that came flying back at me in the air I'd be dead.

i usually don't let it hit the ground unless i hit an uneven surface and it shoots down

I let it hit the ground sometimes becasue I need to practise (sp?) bounce shoots. Otherwise I just catch it directly of the wall.

i like to catch it in the air, but since the bric wall on my house isn't high enough i have to shoot and let it bounce.

It depends on my distance from the wall. If I'm far away, I'll let it bounce.

u shouldnt let is bounce kuz when u dont its more like a real pass and you dont have to wait as long for the ball to come back to you its just more efficent (time wise) also if u let it bounce before it hits the wall it just bounces straight up well almost straight up

I let it bounce so that I can get a nice high pass up by my shoulders.

since my wall that i throw at is under a roof (outside of garage) i have to throw it low and have it hit the ground. But it makes no difference cuz it bounces back up.

Both, almost equally. I use the wall for everything; stregthening non-dominant side, behind the back, sharpen reflexes, aiming at small pieces of tape, quick sticks, one on one, three on three. Moral of the story - work the wall any and every way you can.

I would have to disagree. It may be more like a real pass, but how many more times do you get a "real" pass thats a low pass or bouncer or way over your head in a game than a perfect "real" pass. So it would seem more sensible (at least to me) to practice the things that are going to be more likely to happen. (ie:bounce passes that could go anywhere)

i figure i'm not gonna be catching ball coming from the ground up in a game so i cathc it in the air to help me practice ro real situations
