What's up with everyone changing thier usernames? From mods to noobs to everyone in between, people are just switching to their first names or something boring like that. I don't get it - is there a reason behind this, or is it some fad that started and passed me by?

Yeah, I just like causing more problems for my favourite mods...
No, really though what's the deal? I mean if you're a face of the forum why would you want to change it? Unless you wanted to hide something...dun dun dunnnnnnn...

Oh and what would I be searching for? Annoying name changes? Conspiracy to go on first name basis? Noobish tendencies of the powermad?
Enlighten me, oh wise goalie-man.

i think the only reason they change there names is because they can before it wasnt as big of a deal but now that snake eyes says he will change em more and more ppl want new ones

Cool it Kyle.
And besides, the name change thing was started much earlier than now. Problem is, that its the "in" thing to do at this time. That will pass, and people will be logging on with lame names, and wishing they could change, but since it won't be in, they won't.
Like any other problem with TLF, wait about a week or so, and it'll go away.

we should charge a nominal fee to change names...that way EVERYONE isnt going to change their names...just those with ubersuckie names like shiftylax that NEED to change their names

The only reason that i want to change my name is that the name i want is shorter, It relates to my Avantar, i didnt notice that i spelled the Lof wrong, and im not lil anymore.

how do you change your username?
theres a thread where you have to post what you want changed, search for it and make sure its the september 05 thread.
i dont think its a good idea to change your name if you dont have a recognizable pic.

I like mine. Maybe that's why it's my screen name, 3 of my 4 e-mails, and my name on here, LN, Brine, and used to be my ebay name.

I changed mine about 5 or 6 months ago I think. No one caught onto it then and now since Raine and Enjoi changed theirs people have been catching on and wanting to. I might have been the first to change my name unless Hooligan really did used to have a different one...?
Oh and I changed it because it was annoying having the same name as a company that everyone made fun of.

Personally I think some of the changes have been for the better. I don't care about the new names and it's kind of confusing to keep up with who is who now, but all that is out weighed by the fact that I no longer have to look at the freakishly disturbing picture of Thom York growling. HURRAY!

i think wou should get like 1pt for every 250 posts and you need like 2 pts to change your name that way name changing will stay at a minium
(but personally i have nothing aganist name changing except the ppl you liekd before you cant find ne more because they change there names and avatar if i ever change my name itll be "the poster formally known as mmlaxplaya17" jp)

if you're a good poster, people won't care that you have the same name as a ton of other people. Who mistakes me for lax4life or living4lax or whatever the other ones are?

never changin mine. Had it since the beginning...around the time when Mark said "Let there be light" and there was light..then he said "let there be forums" and there were forums...and it was good...

or you could do that I do. go through the forums, and look for good posts, then when you actually spot one, just check out who it is.
i want to change my name just cuz its just like a million other people on this forum....I think there should be something in the FAQ or registration process that says something like, 'Before you choose your username, go browse through the forum a bit paying attention to other people's usernames. Notice how many members have "lax" or "lacrosse" in their s/n's? Now knowing that, do you still want "lax" or "lacrosse" in your s/n?'
This is The Lacrosse Forums. We know you play lax. That's why you're here.
