This probably is a stupid question so don't get pissed off, but is it bad or good to lift before a game (the day before)?

Usually it is reccomended that you do not lift for two or more days before a game. The day you lift and generally some/most of the day after, your muscles will be tired and not as strong and big as they normally are. A day or two after that, they'll have become stronger or bigger (that is if you're eating right and getting enough protein).
So to answer your question, yes, its bad to lift before a game.

actually it sounds weird but i usually break fire wood before a game with a 30lb sledge so when i swing the lax stick i can get more behind my shot because i was used to something heavier works really well

it's probably not a good idea to lift b4 a game..esp. if u do intense workouts and get sore the next day, and trust me u don't want 2 b sore b4 a game

i would probally not work out bcuz my workouts are intense but you could do it it get a pump in your muscles, do light squats, bench, power cleans[I][U],and some cardio get even more warmed up,

loosening your muscles and giving them a light workout the day before is nothing bad, and often looked highly upon by professional athletes of the endurance kind. Dont try anything heavy but instead do 2 or 3 sets of really light weight just for 15ish reps. Make sure you get ample warmup and stretching(static and passive) to get your body ready for the next day.

If you were to do anything I would just do body weight excercises. Like pushups, pullups palms out and in, crunches, and wall sits. But other than that I would think that you would be slowing yourself down and not thinking of how it will affect your team if you are tired.

i kno alot of the kids on my team lift like 15 mins before game time (very light0 b/c it tightens your muscles and makes it look like their bigger

why would they do that??? Just for the pump or to make their muscles look a little more pumped if it is the latter thats sad.
