Honestly, i get Pms, from people HELP MY MP3s FROM iTUNEES AREN'T MP3 OMH WHAT IS APPLE DOIN!>!?!??!!?
Stop.
Stop ripping using the iTunes encoder with AAC. AAC is only supported by Apple, WHY would you rip into a format only one company supports? You can't transcode those songs because you'll lose all the quality. Same goes for windows media player. WMA = worst quality format ever.
If you are going to rip your own music do this please:
1. Stop ripping using iTunes/Windows Media Player.
2. Setup EAC using this website: www.bestmp3guide.com
3. enjoy your new perfect MP3s. Which ANY company will support.\

I just downloaded an "import with LAME" script (forget where I got it though, sorry guys) and i can do all that jazz you think you're cool for.
(ps: enjoi... upgrading from my MS-1s to the special edition Grado HF-1- check headfi)

Okay, Enjoi likes Macs, he was making fun of iTunes because it sucks, but my computer screwed up when it downloaded LAME or something, because it was converting my songs really slowly and at like 32 KBPS. That sucked. So I'm going to try again, but I've been using iTunes to rip MP3's at 192 KBPS, because 128 sucks. Anyway, if you can get LAME and stuff running, it's seriously the best. Listen to Enjoi.
iMacs don't suck. I used one last year for a Multimedia class. Besides, who likes Bill Gates? He's a hoser.

If you can setup LAME encoder/EAC right, you can rip the best quality music ever heard.
Just for kicks, i once copied my Blind Guardian - Battallions of Fear album using 320 KBPS. Each song was 32MB or more. The most on that album was 66MB. :chuckle:
Needless to say, sounds great!

I usually rip mine at 192 or 256, but I got tempted into ripping one at lossless, sounds great... but puts quite a dent in my harddrive.

well who uses the itunes ripper if they care about sound quality? LAME is the only way to go (takes longer though)

enjoi... I have a mac... i use iTunes... and yes, I still rip LAME (at better than your lazy butt does)
