I was just gonna make a thread about this. Good thing I looked around.
I've been waiting for this night for months, since the end of last season. I purposely didn't watch the trailer because I'm looking forward to not knowing what it's about. I can't wait.

Agreed - subpar episode at best. But the scene with the star trek people was funny if only because it was the real voices of the original actors.

I just hope the Stewie Griffin: Untold Story will be funnier, that was definately not one of the better episodes.

You guys can't wait for the premier? I've allready seen the movie like 10 times.
It's great cause they curse.

Well the premiere could have been better but it was still somewhat funny. When Stewie was in the diner with Brain and the hookers came in, "HEY! I want my money!" then he runs off and you hear the patter patter patter of his feet. Comic genius! The James Woods theme was a little weird though.

"if i were offered a slave, i would say no"
HAHAHA i love this episode so far!!!doesn't anyone else remember the episode were Brian can't help but bark at black people "because of his father"? I dont know... just kinda a broken continuity.
Also, the movie scores about a 5 maybe a 5.5 out of ten. I was dissapointed.
I think in these new ones they are really overplaying the drawn out joke and quick cut scenes. I mean, this episode tonight was half cut scenes. "like that time Peter.." type of things. Feel like they are getting a little formulaic.

I disagree. For the most part, I enjoyed this episode.

Its just NOW getting formulaic? The "quick cut scenes" have been in FG since Death Has a Shadow (1st episode, btw). While these shouldn't be the backbone of an episode, they have always been in the show. Its quite evident the randomness of this show is what has made it what it is today. Their not going to be changing anything.

uhhh.... that is the backbone of the show. If they excluded all the extra stuff then it would be a boring ten minute show with a typical after-school-kids-show-everyone-learns-in-the-end type plot.

Their not going to be changing anything.I'm not saying it didn't exist, I'm saying that are just looking back on what was funny before and using it too much (the extended joke and the quick cut scene are my two examples). I feel like they are just redoing the same jokes that worked before in slightly different ways at the cost of the randomness. I mean, if you keep doing the same jokes, even if the content of the joke is random, it is still going to be boring.

I thought the movie was good and I liked the episode last night. It made me laugh and that's what mattered. Did anyone see the show War At Home before Fam Guy? I thought that was real funny too.
Yeah the war at home was good. I liek that actor, whatever his name is.

War at home reminded me alot of the failed show Titus...Just in the method the show is portrayed...
Tough but typical guy...
Weird family situation...
But the biggest clone is all of the side scenes where you cut away from the action, to a monologue against a bland or white background and the character is discussing what is going on in the action scene...
Damn, you hit the nail on the head. I couldnt remember for the life of me what it reminded me of.

(by the way...i liked Titus not only for the comedy, but his g/f was gorgeous)

ehh the movie was kinda dissapointing...seemed to drag on and on after the first hour....
i thought it actually took away from the movie because they cursed so much in it. i just hope the edit the aqua teen movie when it comes out because as far as im concerned, "WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FREAKIN' CAR?!?!?!?!?" is much more funnier than the other, dirtier version.....
