For when we get some more chicks on here, where are you all from, how long have you been playing, how old are you, where do you play, ya know, stuff like that.

I'm from Maryland and I've been playing from anywhere between 7-9 years. Its hard to keep track. I'm 15 now and for my freshman year in high school I played at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School...REGIONAL CHAMPS BABY!...next year I'll play for The Dana Hall School in Wellesley, MA where I'll be a boarding student. I also play for the Maryland Stars club team. My favorite college teams are Maryland at College Park (without a doubt) and Boston University. I'll be a sophmore next year.

I"m from northern VA, and i've been playing since 6th grade. I first picked it up when the guys in my neighbor started playing it, and yes i was one of those girls that played with a guys stick, and learned guys' rules. i play for westfield high school, and play attack. i love playing in tournaments and select teams, such as the turkey shootout in oakton or the commonwealth games. i also coach a youth team too during the offseason. i love the orangemen, especially mike powell! #22! and i hope to go to syracuse and major in computer science, or virginia tech is good too.

hey, i'm from washington state, and i play goalie for lakeside highschool (so much for anonymity), i just learned this past season, which was my sophmore year, *sob*... wish i learned to play earlier. oh well, i'll be varsity starting next year though, and i hope i'll be good enough to get looked at by colleges (assuming i annoy them enough)... so if ya hadn't already guessed ive been playing for under a year. i envy you easties. and my favorite team is virginia, partly cause of tillman johnson and the fact that i worship him, and also because when i started to play in feb, my friend recommended i look at some vid's he had of college games, and virginia v 'cuse (from a year ago) was the first one i watched, i have a thing for the underdog

Hey all! My name is Molly and I just finished my freshman year at Boston University. I am originally from Baltimore, MD where I played at Loch Raven high school. I have been playing lacrosse for about 11 years now and loving every minute of it. I coached rec. for a few years before I went to college, played club for the Skywalkers for three years, and work at a lacrosse store...so needless to say I basically live lacrosse. My favorite teams are obviously Boston...and I will be a Terps fan forever. I am interested in most women's college teams though because I just have so many friends that play. It's also just so nice to see the women's game growing!

laxbabe~ I cant say enough good things at BU. The team is great and we are getting better every day. The girls are great. The school is fantastic and it offers so much and being in the city is great too. It was just really nice to be able to go and pretty much do whatever you wanted whether it was go to a party or go downtown. It is really weird not having a campus though but you get used to it. It's a really big school too so sometimes you can kind of feel lost in the mix, but I love it and I am realy glad that I chose to go up there.

Hey girls! I'm a rising college junior and I play lax for Mary Washington College up in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Hey Laxstar, I know how that is, I'm from Virginia Beach, where girls lax is pratically non-existant for anyone in high school and younger. I didnt even get to start playing lax til I was a freshman in high school and even then it was only b/c me and a few girls formed our own team ( much to our AD's dismay). But that doesnt mean you can't eventually go to college and play for a top team.

Hope everyone's summer is going well and is excited about the upcoming fall ball (for us college players)!

I'm from the West coast (Seattle, WA), and currently play for Greenwood Club. I'm going to be a sophmore this coming school year, and hopefully play a midfield position. As a freshman and first year lacrosse player last year, I was the goalie for my team. Our original goalie had an injury and was out the whole season, so I volunteered to be goalie. Currently, I'm playing in a summer league and am enjoying the field very much. Hopefully our goalie will return next year, so I can have some time on the field!

haha, yeah i graduated with him and I see him around at the gym every once in a while. Our graduating class only had 52 kids in it, so we were all pretty tight with each other (in comparison to public schools). who else do u know from good ol' CHC?

lax star: Please do! I'd be more than happy to answer any of ur questions about the school (not only do I play lax for mwc, but im also a tour guide, so I know things about the school that the adverage joe wouldnt know :angel

hey everyone
I'm Amanda and I'm from Mass. For the last two years (my 7th and 8th grade years) I played for my school's middle school team. I play mostly the midfield area, so mostly wings, but sometimes I played 3rd man. hmmmm.....next year, I'll still be on a school team, the level is yet to be determined. I'm thinking of starting an inside thing with some of my old teammates for this winter so we don't get too out of practice (he he he). I guess there isn't much else to say except I LOVE LAX!

That is fantastic Sally. Way to go with starting the lax phenom in Oregon. My godmother lives out there...no less on a farm too :) It's a really cool farm though! Haha. Where in Oregon do you live? Did you know that the University of Oregon (I think that's the school) is going to have a women's program starting up? You'll have some college games to go see :)

How did you get involved in lacrosse?

I'm a MD fan so I cant say I like the Cavs all that much but I'm an ACC in general fan so nice choice!

i live in portland which is the largest city in oregon. that's the new big thing in oregon, that university of oregon has a division 1 team coached by the old assistant coach at UNC, jen larson. she held a clinic there with rachael Becker and lauri Kenis that was totally awesome. my friend was actually recruted at the clinic and is playing there next year.

i got started with lacrosse because my dad played at UNC and vanderbilt and is now a ref, coach and director of the oregon youth girls league. when i was younger i went to all of the games and tournaments and started throwing with some of the players and i feel in love with the game.

Reall cool, real cool.

Yeah, Lauri Kenis is the new assistant coach at UMD so we'll see how that works out. I'm a big Cathy Nelson-Reese fan so I'm a little biast but she seems like she'll do good things for the program. Hopefully her defensive skills will add to it. Before, all to AC were offensive players.
