That means your Independent.

And you can still be a Repub/Demo/whatever and vote for other people. It's a recent trend to cross party lines.

You think things are nuts at school now?

Wait till the day he arrives.
The amount of people crawling around there will be incredible.
They bring everything with them, food, drinks.

They'll have medical personel and tons of medical equipment.

They will even bring in dogs to sniff around for bad stuff.

Once he's in the building they'll probably lock everyone in the rooms they are in.

The Secret Service takes their job serious. They don't play.

Enjoy the experience even though its a pain in the butt.

Go to a homebrew shop and find some strong smelling hops...hops is a distant cousin to mary jane...stuff a bag of hops in your pocket...

Ask to pet the nice doggies

Cut a phone cord and make it look like an earpiece and wear glasses...tell everyone to leave you alone...you're "on the job" today...

Ask the secret service why they are called secret when everyone can tell who they are

it's really not that big of a deal that the president comes... just because he beat al gore in the election 3 years ago (only because of the electoral college) doesnt mean that he's one of the greatest people in america. personally, i hate most of his policies and i think he's an awful president. i'd like to meet him just to ask him about his plans for the country if he were to be re-elected.

wull today at school some girl was arrested she said she was gonna shot the president and the everyone else around him and long story short the secret service DECK HER!!!! im talking about football tackle just crack her and she was drag off so she is never coming back to our school or anyschool probably for a long time and we found out they "bugged" the school last night meaning they put hidden MICS eveywhere, they made us clean out our gym lockers and take off the locks. and what i find funny is no one knows what is really goin on all we no is he is coming.

ppl like that bug me so much, they just say that to get attention. it doesnt really matter who the president at the time is. they just know hes more important then them, and theyre secretly jealous. so instead they get all emo and say hes a bad pers. and say a demo. would be better. even though in the situation our country is in rite now, hes doing the best he can do. and personally i think hes doing a good job. id like to shake his hand. but then again, im sure a lot can be debated on that subject. theres a lot of sore democrats out there.

wull the whole shcool is gonna be in lock down when the president arrives at the air port then were gonna be rushed to the gym, cafe, and the auditorium and we remain there locked in untill he leaves and gets to the airport. they believe its gonna be about 3 hours min. we can not leave for anyreason example to go to the bathroom u gotta go in ur pants thats how serious they have snipers on our roof and there are hidden vans within 10 miles of our school already and tomarrow there are gonna be choppers in the sky scanning the area i over heard the one secret service person talking to our principal sayin that we have about 80 secret service ppl at our school already and tomarrow there will be close to 6 times that.our principal made a anouncement today saying tomarrow this is gonna be the safest place in the country but look out for the coverage on CNN and other channels like that sometime this week.

raine!! My Mo-Bro!!

lol thats great,
anywho, thats totally rad that the president is coming to your school dude!!

Hes a good man, I dont know why all the democrats are all in a hissy.

Sorry, but all they do is attack the Bush administrations policies, but have nothing constructive to add to this country. You dont like the war?? FINE what else do you wanna do to keep this country safe?? dont whine about it, think of better ways to do things.

Oh, and if Mr. Tibs reads this, or anyone else who saw my last political post I want to apologize, i shouldnt have gotten so mad, but sometimes it just throws me over the edge. :banghead

ok, sorry, but i just couldnt resist on this one...
quickstyx- here's something constructive... we never needed to get into 3 wars in the first place... i can see the justification behind the war on terrorism. but, the war in iraq and the war in north korea are completely uncalled for. where are these WMD's in Iraq? Oops, there are none. Way to go Bush administration. That whole shpiel of catching Saddam and his friends is definitely worth losing an American every day... yeah... and we have just as many WMD's as north korea, yet it's ok for us to have em? If you're gonna go invade another country because of their WMD's, lead by example. And, if you dont wanna lead by example, then stay the hell out of their business. We can't be the world's big brother, nor should we be.
As for the economy... it has gone to ****... great, so the Bush admin gave the country one quarter of economic prosperity. big deal. the republicans tend to bash clinton all the time, but the truth of the matter is, he balanced the country's budget, which still hasn't happened in this administration. you know what else? clinton isnt in office anyomore, so by bashing him, you're just kicking yourselves in the *** because you're focusing on clinton rather than the democratic candidates who are running this year. you all say that democrats tax and spend, but you guys just spend and help the national debt to grow with your "low taxes". oh, and way to focus on bashing dean recently, too, now that it looks like he;s not even gonna be close to winning the primaries.

sorry, that may have been out of line to some of you, but when someone starts talkin smack about my party, i gotta defend it.

stegmakk
02-11-2004, 11:03 PM
I dont believe in the party system...just because someone is in a certain party dont mean im gonna vote for them...there are sooo many issues now no one is gonna match perfectly with me...
as far as Bush...well no more comments...but lets not turn this thread political...this was just about the nimrod visiting a school...keep the political jabs in the other thread...please...

Dude, they need a political forum...it was a lot more interesting for me, probably because cruising the forum marked "girls" would make me feel sorry, sad, and like a dirty old man. At any rate, The pres is the pres. I'm sure most people would agree, it could be alot worse. For me (who leans towards the conservative side) a bad day under clinton as pres is better than a good day in some of those messed up European, African, or latin american countries. At any rate, listen to what he has to say, and enjoy the experience. Try to sit as far away as possible from the idiot with the laser pointer, but don't worry, the snipers are usually pretty accurate.

I like the idea of a political section. could the mods lookinto that please??

GeorgiaMiddie, very good points, i dont wanna turn thins into a flaming party, so all my comments are olny critical not insulting.

You have to know that i dont stand beside EVERYTHING that Bush has done. Not by a long shot. But I do know that the world is a safer place with Saddam and his evil, and i MEAN EVIL, henchmen are behind bars. Your right, however, that goin in under the cover of the Weapons of Mass Destrution threat was not a smart idea. He should have went to the the UN and said "this man is evil, hes not treating his people right, and needs to be taken out of power." would have been more effective, and Im sure that the democrats out there would find a way around that one too, but... It IS more honest.

Now, about the whole "America shouldnt babysit these countries idea." We actually kind of have the obligation to keep tabs on the rest of the would. Your forgetting that it was ignorance that led to Pearl Harbor during WW2, and look where that got us, right into the war anyways. It is better to take premtive action.

Also, "leading by example" thats a joke. If you havent been paying attention we are getting rid of more and more atomic weapons every day. You cant just one day say "ohkay lets get rid off 500,000 nukes, its a slow proccess that most of the civilized world is going through, the problem is that some contries arent doing that.

Any other democrats want to step up to this id be glad to shoot you down too.

Oops, forgot your "Economy" rant that everyone has. Have you heard of "economic cycles" didnt think so. If you look at ALL the numbers in the nations economy they go in a wave-like pattern. Just so happens that Mr. CLinton caught it on the up-side. Mr. Bush caught it on the downside. If you really think about it... What the heck can a president do. Not a lot. Its the big coorporations and the people that have to figure out what to do with their money. And money is what turns the cycle. Now i will tell you that i actually didnt mind Clinton. He was very good at putting money where it needed to be, but at the time not as much money heeded to be places. Now it does. And mark my words.... we will be back in the black in the next 6 years no matter who winds up as president.

man alive i love this stuff.

one more thing... :-D (see this is what happens when you get me goin on polotics. Us repulicans get our guys into office by promoting OUR candidates. You democrats try to get into office by bashing on the other candidates. Weve seen it time and time again. Even in the promaries there are radio and TV ads that are bashing the other candidates. This is why we dont really care about the primaries, even though i would rather see Kerry then Dean in office, but we dont focus on that.

GeorgiaMiddie2
02-14-2004, 10:47 PM
ok, fair enough... we screwed up in pearl harbor (and 9-11, for that matter) because we had awful intelligence. it's fine to keep an eye on the rest of the world, but it doesnt mean that we have to take out whatever leaders we think are doing a bad job of leading their countries.

yes, i do know what an economic cycle... we've all taken economics in high school. 1/2 cycles usually dont last 8 years though (in clinton's case). a full cycle will usually last about 10 years. and you can say what you want about the economic cycle, but if the gov't spends more than it collects, it's gonna increase the national debt. bush can keep his taxes as low as he wants, but eventually, someone (taxpayers) is gonna have to make up for the debt in the future.

sorry, but your "leading by example is ridiculous" argument is just weak.

and, finally... republicans dont bash on each other? if there were a democrat in office right now, all the repubs would be clawin at each other until the primaries were over... it doesnt matter what party you're in... politics is politics and all politicians are the same... they're gonna do what they need to to get into office.

so, there's your democratic argument... i can go all day...

QuickStyx
02-14-2004, 11:20 PM
beauiful,
And i totally agree with you on the polotics is polotics stuff. Someone once said "If a person thinks about being a polotician they should automatically be denied the chance." or something like that.
