Just from hype and it predicted to be the bestselling head of 2006, I would get the Razer Pro. The Primer looks good too, but it kind of looks like it will either be great, or weak and terrible.

yea i think your probably right but unfortunanatly :bawling: thats the way its been with most stx heads lately but i think i'll pick it up its its light stiff and strong or even just light and strong cuz i love pinched heads.....and this on looks good

simmer down little fella....i'll try to help you out a little more, but i stick with my original statement... the primer reminded me of the bionic when i saw it, just with a better pinch in the middle of the head. It didn't seem to be that much offset either. It wasn't super light, probably 5.2-5.7 ounces. It seemed to be pretty sturdy as well. I'm not exactly sure of what it will retail but i'd imagine 80-85 for it unstrung. It wasn't strung so i didn't get to throw with it.

i used the primer
its pretty nasty
at my lax store in NJ an STX guy was there and he had all the new stuff
the primer is nasty and its super light
it felt nice on the new 40 dollar titanium shaft
I was really impressed by its rigidness
All around it was just comfortable to play with

The primer is pretty sweet. I used one the other day to shoot around and it felt pretty stiff for an STX head. I'm not a fan of all the holes on the face fo the head - they could be eliminated and the head would be the same, but a little more aesthetically pleasing. It's more pinched than a binic and "weighs" much less. I'm getting one over a truth any day odf the week after having tested that head out on a d pole and having it bend more than roethelisburger's knee last week.

How do you pronounce Primer, is it like Prime-er? or like Pri-meer?

How do you pronounce Primer, is it like Prime-er? or like Pri-meer?
Prime-er (Primer) is a new head for STX
Pre-meer (Premiere, or Sc + Ti Premiere) is the new top of the line attack length shaft from STX

I'm pretty sure it is prime-er, because pri-meer is spelled premier

can the primer be used for any shaft or does it need to be used with the crankshaft, bc i was at a store in MD over the weekend and i tried to put a primer on a warrior split and a stx alloy and it wouldnt fit on either, the shaft you go some of the way into the head, then it wouldnt go any farther

Its not for the crankshaft, thats the kannon and v groove. I got a primer and it fits fine on my kryptolyte.

The primer is an amazing head. The pinch is perfect so the ball control is amazing. It is pretty much a more durable version of the Answer.
