britney spears is not a role model she is a "singer" I don't like her but it's her choice to do whatever she wants. It's not her responsibilty to set an example for kids if what she does is not appropriate then parents shouldn't let there kids watch/listen to her.

I don't think the lyrics are all that bad..besides, who actually listens to the lyrics anyways? even so, I'm not a fan. Give me some old school rock over this pop crap any day. Who else can take 5 min to say absolutely nothing? "Louie Louie" did it first, and did it better...

As for parents being the ultimate responsibilitiy, I agree, but you have to understand that Spears knows her target audience isn't going to be people 18+. No one chooses to be a role model, society does it for 'em. I think people have the responsibility to take that seriously.

As for raine, I completely agree. Also, others on this thread had it right...I think BS and CA are in some sort of winner take all skank-off. Christina had the lead, but Spears is making up for lost time with a vengance....

as to what happened at the superbowl, i dont see it as to bad. the reason this current generation is the "evil" one, is because our parents block all of that from us, then when we come into contact with it at 18, we have no clue how to deal with it...thus the screwy sex-offendors, youg-gang members, and the rest of the looney-bin!
