Does anyone have any expectations set on them to play lacrosse this year by teachers, coaches, or parents, etc? I have. My parents said I need a 90% average to join lacrosse this year :dummy: :banghead: . Just wanted to know if other people had any expectations.

Yeah... I have to have decent grades to play... a 90% average is pretty crazy.

Yea and the thing is I am the only goalie on the tam unless a newbie tries out. See I play for a school team so if I don't join, then they have to put in someone who has no experience in net. So big pressure on me.

i'm in the exact same position...i really need to stand out this year and do well b/c i'm the only goalie unless a freshman comes in...also my parents want good grades and idk my brother was an allamerican goalie and sometimes i feel the pressure to have to b as outstanding as him...

me and these 2 other kids have made quite a name for ourselves and one of the varsity coachs invited us to play with them during the summer and at this sports dome in the winter and me and only one of my freinds could go to one in the summer but college players played in it. only 1 other person from the middle school team has been invited to play with varsity and this year 3 did.

Meh as long as i don't get kicked out of school i'm allowed to play lacrosse. But the again Both my parents were and still kinda are lax players so they understand how much it means to me.

75%? That's too chill man. If I'm failing 2 classes I'm off the team.

LOL no my parents just say get your grades better this year (sophmore year) or there is no way that the colleges that you cna play for will be able to accept you. And they nag me about that non stop but i'm actually doing so much better than last year even thoguh last year I had a 3.0.

My parents didn't care. But we had to be passing 6 of 8 classes to play.

I think I have to be passing all of my classes according to the school system, but I'm not sure. I haven't been given exact requirements yet, but I know for a fact that if I get more than one C, or a D (or worse) then my parents will give me half a quarter to pick up my grades, and if they're not better then they won't let me play lacrosse.
I'm also trying my best to get a scholarship for lacrosse. My parents definitely don't have the kind of money to send me to any kind of good college, so its up to me.
