I figured I'd start the thread for this year. I am going down coaching a Grade 3/4 team from Ottawa (Can) for the Junior Turkey Shoot.

Who else is going?

ya Watertown cyclones, we might be going we might not, our varsity team is looking into other tournys the same day which dont cost as much a team...also gotta love going to the turkey shoot and breaking your sticks in this north country cold!

i havnt gotten my tournament schedual yet, but its a possibility ill be there. itd prolly be a jv team (maybe varsity) from Shen

Six days to go! This should be a good time. If anyone is around the Junior TurkeyShoot on Saturday, drop by and say hi. I'll be coaching the Ottawa 3/4 team (red jerseys) and will likely be wearing a "Knights Lacrosse" jacket, strikingly handsome with salt and pepper hair. lol.

I know who Griff is, but don't know him personally. My son is Nick, and played Tyke Rep for the Knights.

i went to shen for 8 years. at lasalle this year. i dont think we have a team going out though.

What age group are you coaching? I'm with the 3/4s at Ithaca HS.

I am with the u-19's from Toronto, billed as Scarborough Saints, but we drew the best of Beaches and Saints Jr's as a team this season.

Should be good, but Oshawa will be regarded as a top team again, as far as I know they are going

You guys are on Sunday then. We play all our games on Saturday. I don't know if we'll make it back into Ithaca for any games since it is 45 minutes of back-tracking from the route home.

Good luck - you'll need it if you come up against our Nemesis team ;)

McQuaid Jesuit Knights Varisity plays tomorrow. Look out for them. I play for their JV team but yeah best of luck to everyone that plays tomorrow.
Today was pretty sweet. I was kind of disappointed that STX or Warrior wasn't there. The Brine truck was pretty sweet. Displayed the flights, and exodus' and Casey Powell was there as well. Nice Guy.

The tournament was cool yesterday. If I was a Warrior rep. I would not want to be seen there though. Brine had it locked up.

We had a good time and surprised ourselves! My kids went 2-1 and came up an experienced PennYan team in the third and final game. Not bad fo a bunch of kids who never got to pl,ay a game as team, only scrimmages, before the tournament. We'll be back next year for sure.

i was there, does anyone know if nisky ended up winning the championship i know that they were up like 6-2 at the half but then i left. o and casey powell is a very nice guy, he stood with out team on the sidelines during one of our games

i think Oshawa beat Scarborough in the Varsity Elite Division, i heard it from somebody so it could be wrong.

nope Niksy won they beat layfette?, We lost to Layfette by one goal and we won the rest of are games because i think Niksy My team(Brien McMahon HS) and Layfette were the only good teams there b/c that was the closest game we were in, we blow every on else out.

Nisky always dominates. They beat our varsity team last year in regular season 17-2, and we were pretty good! but to stay on topic my friend went with his capitals team and he said it was alright

lol we(Ottawa) got masacerd on the sunday (grades 9-10) and same story in the varsity (U19) but we dident come in dead last!! the one game when we switched out longpoles to attack and out goalie to attack also...we won....:) o well the weather was amazing, except for the ride home to Ottawa on the sunday, that storm was crazy! we got a team pic with Casey Powell real nice guy

I noticed that at harvard there were a lot of teams filled with freshman and sophmores so that could be part of the reason that there was not a lot of talent.
