Is it legal for a goalie to wear a sun visor over or on their helmet?

Bangerz makes a visor capitable with Cascade and Gait helmets.

Long story short, it is ILLEGAL to use a tinted visor because it can obstruct a referee or trainer's view of your eyes. It's a safety issue.

I think you're fine with the clear one though.

I searched, but i couldnt find anything on goalie visors. Just regular player visors being illegal. I thought i'd better ask about goalies because the rules change sometimes.

Thanks

Depends what you mean. If you mean, can you take a regular visor (like a hat with the top part cut off) and put it on your helmet, sure.

If you mean plastic covering part of your facemask, you can wear one as long as it's clear (no tint at all). No special rules for goalies on this one.

I am referring to a plastic one that covers part of your facemask.

I am going to assume it is illegal based on what you guys have said. Thanks a lot!

The safety issue involved is being able to see a player's eyes when he is hurt without removing the helmet/moving his neck

ok, ive seen the bangerz one in my local Lax store, they also come in amber and smoke, both are basially clear, just a small hint of tint. But why would they make them if it wasnt legal to use, seems like a waste of money
