Canadian lacrosse stores??

Hey guys... I'm in BC and am looking for stores that sell lax gear, specifically stuff for girls. Sticks and cleats mainly. I've been looking all over and selection pretty much sucks so far - either they don't have any lacrosse gear or they have one stick and one pair of cleats.

SportMart had nothing, SportChek had a couple of things but hardly anything..... etc.

If you know of any, please let me know! Thanks!

If you guys get national sports... they have lots of equiptment and are very friendly but im from Toronto....dont lnow if they sell there!

You can always ask if they will order the equipment for you. Sports Check will order some things though I don't know if they will order what you want.

order online......or find a lax only shop, you wont get anything good unless you do, here in toronto, national is bad, you gotta go to like pro shops, here we have proboss and calgary has moutain edge, I am sure BC has some shops..... whats with the henderson pic?????

Willowdale blackhawks??? new league...I am in willowdale but played saints and now stars intermediate all my life, if you are over 17 and wanna play rep lax, play TO stars intermediate with our bunch, laughs and lax.... PS: avoid national bad warranties and bad equip....its worth the trip to proboss lax in pickering

Hey paul gait, I tried to play Stars lacrosse but found out that willowdale will let me play for the year with midgets. It would also be a really long commute to play stars b/c i am in the north york area. I even e-mailed them to play and they suggested i play with the blackhawks again.. anyways also there is spokes and sports in toronto which has some equiptment but not alot. Its at Avenue and Wilson.

Hey PGR, no worries. :o) A *lot* of guys who grow up playing on the west coast wear socks pulled up like that. And yeah, I know it's hard to tell who it is in a small photo.... I just love that photo so I shrunk it down.

ps: you dont gotta from the west, I wore them too when i was younger, really stole the style from Ben Prepchuk , anyways, people copied and it became like pop culture of lax so i stopped.... Also, when u look at it, it looks fruity...lol....so instead, i will have d.alfredsson hair this summer...lol....for real!!!!!!

Half our team will have that hair after the season. I don't know why but the boys decided that they weren't going to cut their hair until after the season.

National isn't selling lacrosse equiptment anymore (at least in my area.) Tport check has some terrible equiptment. Spokes ans sports on avenue and wilson, across from the mcdonalds has some equiptment and they know there stuff, but its really expensive. The lax shack is the best and you can buy online. http://www.probosslacrosse.com/ is there site, they will be opening a store in Vancouver too.

Hey Newbie...the best place I have found to buy cleats is:

Everything is cheap even for us Canadians. Nice wide range of selection and the staff there are top notch and will help you out with everything.

For Lax Gear if you go to the Burquitlam Shopping Center, which is on the corner of Como Lake and North/Clarke road their is a Hockey/Lax Shop, sorry but i forget the name. They are really good guys there and can help you out with everything. As well all of the guys there know **** from when me and him played Junior in Coquitlam.

By the way how long have you known Andrew? I used to play Junior ball with him so I might know you, although its been a couple of years.

hey if u live in the part of BC bordering Alberta then u can try and find a Mountain Edge Lacrosse store in Calgary. There a specialty store. Also if u are on the First Nations or Alumni Cup teams there is a Mountain Edge Lacrosse tent set up at the tournament. ( I think its in Saskatoon this year)

if ur from b.c in the lower mainland the best place is west coast sports in coq. they have everything and have incredibly helpful workers. they all play lacrosse and know exactly what there doing.

i wouldnt go to proboss for equipment.ecspeacily when you have to order it, my friend ordered a harrow howitzer and went to pick it up and it turns out they had sold his earlier that day,two weeks ladder they get a call the they just got a shipment, so they go right away and turns out they didnt get a shipment.secondly,my dad got me a new stx chest protector and a new set of stx shins and ordered stx size 56 pants three weeks ago,well ever time we go in to get the pants it turns out that they just sold them or they havent got them in,and all this after my dad all ready paid for them.

I don't know if anyone knows the following stores I'm going to mention but these are where I've been getting all my lax equipment so far. They are: 1) Sports Unlimited in Brampton, 2) Both of the Lax Shack stores, one being in Mississauga and the other one being in Pickering, 3) Sanderson Sports in Orangeville, 4) Mohawk International Lacrosse on the Akwesasne Mohawk Territory, and 5) Mountain Edge Lacrosse in Calgary. I don't know if anyone knows these different southern Ontario stores (except of course for the Calgary store). I've gotten a little bit from each of these stores.

We just buy soft, hard or monster/mega/whatever.

As near as I can tell, the crap that JimaLax sold as Canadian mesh was more or less just like the soft mesh that comes on a Gait or Warrior factory stick.

Locking this thread, for the simple fact that I don't want yet another thread to fall victim to the "Canadian Mesh" legend.

Schratxs20, please talk to whoever it is that you know owns this "Canadian Mesh" and do 1 of 2 things for me. Either get him or yourself to post a picture of this mesh to show everyone, or please talk to this guy about where to get it, and stop clogging this forum with this futal quest.
