Alright, who's got it? and what stations do yall consider the best?
Im getting it installed in my car tomorow and I am UBER excited.
I listen to CD's about half the time, but other then that I listen to the radio. I only listen to the radio for rap though, and we only have two rap stations here, both of which are about 75% talk. So im pretty excited about the "urban" stations. Aswell as the "dance" and "electonica" stations. techno is amazing for driving.
The description of "the system" a electonica station... WOAH... should be pretty stellar...
Taking a trip into The System will blow your mind - it will expand your musical boundaries and create a listening experience that you will never forget. Trance, Breaks, Progressive... It's electronic dance music presented in a way that is uncompromising, pure and relentless.
You will hear core artists like Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, The Crystal Method, Future Sounds of London, BT, Underworld, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyke, Fatboy Slim. Stepping away from the mainstream, we bring you tracks from artists such as Plastic Angel, Mark Otten, Quiver, Three Drives, Fretwell, Marco V., Signum, Sonar Methods just to name a few.
Take a trip deep inside your mind... take a trip in The System.

today my dad presented me with that option. He said we could take the XM back and i could get and Ipod if i wanted to, but i think the XM will be uber cool. Just seems like a awsome way to be exposed to new artist. Also i have an MP3 player, not an IPOD but good enough.

the iTrip is so hot, all my friends have it and we use it a parties. just turn the house stereo on and your good to go... I wish i could get one like that for my MP3 player, but alas i cant.

I have XM radio and I love it. Some of my favorite stations are Fungus and the 80's, 70's channels.

fungus does look fun, i love Ska and punk..
Music About No Future Now Has A Future
It's the country's first coast to coast punk station... and it only took thirty years.
Fungus 53, the nasty little hole in the XM lineup where old and new punk rock settles to the bottom. You'll also get ska, industrial, surf and other misbegotten DIY styles that the powers that be have railed against through the ages. Fungus 53 realizes that punk has sometimes been the only honest form of communication in the media. Well, besides comics. It's sure to be referenced by both people who love punk and by those who wear t-shirts of punk bands that they've never heard before in their lives. Hey, to each his own. We're not here to judge anybody.
Fungus 53 plays everything. Pioneers like the New York Dolls, early heroes The Clash, Ramones & Dead Kennedys, later bands Rancid, Green Day, & The Offspring and newer bands like The Living End, The Ataris, & A.F.I.
Don't be afraid to be part of the problem. Nobody's ever done this before so it ain't gonna hurt to write with some ideas. If you don't hear what you want don't blame us if you didn't let us know.
Music about no future now has a future. Oh, the irony.

yeah, but how many people take the option to renew after a year if its free, or install it for 400 odd dollars. Think of it this way, you need a majority of the population to get it, and use it more than on the way to work and back. The internet is used a t work, school and home, but besides truckers and delivery men, who drives all day for a job?

XM radio costs me $13 a month. That's not exactly a king's ransom.

nd yeah but a year is like 150 bucks, thats a new pair of high end gloves a year
and the set up cost a lot for the reciver-100, boombox, 100, car adaptor/cradle-100 so thats 300 and im sure they make other stuff for it.
