i was looking through some pictures i hav and stumbled across a Umass player with a warrior tattoo on his leg...

Well, to each his own I suppose.

I would hope that in his life he can come up with an interesting story about what it means and why he got it.

i find it interesting b/c most of the team wears brine gloves and stuff...so i'm just wondering how he's "hooked up" w/ warrior...btw ^sweet avatar formerlaxdemon

Dude, he got a tattoo that symbolizes the WORD "warrior" instead of spelling it out somewhere. It is a representation of the meaning of the word - Not the company, even if it is their logo. I sincerely doubt he got it tattooed on his leg because he loves the freaking company.

Uhm...I sincerely doubt he got a tattoo because he likes Warrior gloves or equipment. And yes, I am mad - people don't get tattoos like that because they like a company. I have 5 tattoos - none of them are corporate logos, but they all actually mean something. That's why people get tattoos - because they mean something, they're not arbitrary - unless you're one of those chicks that get a flower, a butterfly or a unicorn. Then your tattoo is worthless.

ok chill shifty i just made this thread to show ppl his tattoo and see they're thoughts/comments, etc...i never said that it was for the warrior logo i just said it was the warrior logo...obviously he got it for a reason so idk why ur angry, we never seriously implied that it was for warrior company...

I'm not mad at anyone person - the idea that someone would get a tattoo of a company because he likes their gear...its like out of a science ficiton novel. It seems so ridiculous to me. Like people getting Nike swooshes because its cool.

maybe he was bein silly and used one of those temp. tattoos..i've actually got a few unused ones somewhere in my lax bag from a tourney, haha

He's number 42 for umass and his name is dan whipple. They call him whip and i guess its just a shorter way for Whip.

uh you can't really call him a tool... he plays NCAA division 1 lacrosse I can GURANTEE you don't play a higher level of lacrosse...

it seems like umass players like lax tattoos...i waas looking for another one of 42 in a different game to make sure it wasn't temporary and i stumbled upon another player with crossed sticks on his leg...but they didn't look fake at all so idk

ive seen a cannons player with an STX tat on his arm. it also has feathers and stuff on it

I agree that people get tattoos because of what they mean to them....but, you said it yourself, you did not/would not get a tat of a corporate logo...because IMO, you do look like a tool! Alot of peeps get tats that are personal and sometimes only have meaning to them like a chinese word or something, but to get a tat of a corporate logo just seems silly cause everyone relates that to a company! Just my opinion, not right or wrong, just as your views are neither right or wrong....just your opinion!

Well i would like to say he got this tattoo to symbolize the word not the company, but you can never say. Although i think its retarded to get tattoos symbolizing companies i have seen a player at a tourney with a big STX logo on his leg, and he sucked, so its not even like lacrosse was his life or something. So although the smart thing to say would be it represents the word...idk, some people just dont care as much i guess.

I actually know him. He's had it sense high school and his nick name is Whip so W for Whip (Whiple being his last name). And he did it so it looks like the warrior logo too. He played LSM at Umass this year he's a very good player. If you don't believe me go ahead and check the Umass lacrosse website his name is Dan Whiple.
